D': Where have all the Australian servers gone? (and where are all the gods?)

So, anyone know why there is only one Australian server up?

 

KAG doesn't seem to be popular among aussies I guess :p

Nah KAG's pretty popular in australia :P thats where alot of the players come from :P

 

Then they are selfish for not putting up moar servers

lavalord's server comes up most times, as does the RTDM for Aus... haven't seen AOE's CTF in a while though... but maybe that's because I usually play on POWER California or Goonhaven

 

We used to have like four australian ctf..now we have one.

 

AOE's servers had problems with updating with Linux so fox has asked the host of the server(position of server, not fox) to make it a different format. thus server will come I hope. but lava, told fox the fix, "change the format, Linux has a missing file" :P. thus, the server may come

tl;dr: AOE server will come soon. and the only Aus servers atm aren't that great with lag on KAG :(

 

Yeah my servers horribly laggy ATM :P only temporary though :)

 

Remember when there was an Official Australian Server,Australian Server,KSB and the POWER California

 

Canadian, California is in America.

Also, you are new there used to be a bunch of 'stable' servers.

I was wondering the same thing, I haven't played the game in a while after I got the Dota 2 beta and I come back and all the australian servers are gone, it looks like the game is declining in popularity in Australia, which is a shame as this is a fun game. Atleast there is still a lot of American servers to play in.

 

As Foxodi says in his status:
"Nearly every update in my 6months of playing has hurt the game. The Australian KAG population has basically halved since the latest updates." Apr 18, 2012 Just thought I would add that.
