Is building towers next to each other the new door spamming?

Seriously, I dunno where these trends in moronic behaviour come from in this game, but they seem to catch on quickly, a couple of months ago people seemed to happily work on 2 or 3 badly made towers in peace and fuck them all up for each other with ground level doors and whatever, but now people seem to love building their own tower. Anyone else noticed how irritatingly popular this seems to be becoming? Maybe I didn't notice it quite so much before because at least your front tower would have some sort of defensive sturdiness and height advantage, but it doesn't seem to be the case anymore, now there's just towers in a massive line for the enemy to stroll over without even needing to glide with shields which couldn't be more designed f0r the enemy unless they had the other teams colours on the doors and bridges...

 

yeah, I've noticed this too. I also see lots of people taking up space by building 3 bomb shops, arrow shops and quarters right next to each other.

 

That dumbness is just annoying. Instead of building one castle or tower, they are now building a city out of them >.<
And when the enemies dug under the, they don't even recognize digging enemies... Also, it seems like they don't get the term Fall back!

 

Yea I am noticing that too... But lately i have been spending more time on zombie servers anyway :p It's okay there.

 

The people who play zombie just know that they need to work together to survive... That's all. They just know that they have to use their brains, and that is what is missing on pubby servers.

 

This is why I'd like to see Clan versus Clan matches. Experienced teams playing versus each other, with possibly pre-designed castles (strategy wise, like a clan agrees on building a certain castle).

 

Yeah, well it really is a problem solved by the endless staircase. :)

The thing is, with staircases you just keep adding on and on and it gets better. With towers, not so much.

 

Yes. Because the people in public servers have already played zombie servers, and had their brains stolen redistributed.

What about a staircase-based tower? ;)

And we shall call it, "Tower Spamming".:p In all seriousness though, we should have someone go through every server and every match, and tell everybody to please STOP tower/door spamming. I wonder where these newbies get their seemingly amazing architectural knowledge. Because this is ridiculous. Every time I make a tower, someone extends it unnecessarily.

 

Yeah this can get annoying. I've had someone build a tower literally 1 tile in front of mine. Later on I watched as the enemy scaled his noob tower and just walked over the top of mine. :(
