Overworld and the "About" webpage menu.

    Please consider removing the "Planned overworld feature" and link to dev blog, from the "About" menu, in your webpage. It mislead me to buy your game from the point of view i would support this with my money. Also maybe its just me but the label "Alpha" is also abit misleading when its close to launch. It makes fast buyers, like me, into thinking that theres plenty of time for everything to be added. I did not buy this game for what is in it now, but for what might have gotten into it. A terraria with a more hardcore unforgiving feel and a more permanent and open world.

    This is not a "I feel scammed!!!" rant, because i understand the motions of game developing and that everything cant be promised and made, but those two points really dont give a good vibe.

    I agree. Removing it would eliminate more people being angry about "being lied to". Even if they are technically wrong, because of the terms and conditions, but it will eliminate needless rage/hate/dissatisfaction/disappointment/<insert any further negative emotions here>

    Okay, Rayne closed that thread for a reason. Geti already said that he's changing that. That's that.

    EDIT: But I do appreciate you being nice about it. I'm just getting this in before SOME people start ranting and start arguments.

    No it's not. This topic is simply a suggestion to remove the planned feature from the page featuring the "yet to come features".

    I dont think it got closed because of what i just wrote, but because it got to personal on other things, opinions and harsh language. What i wrote is not unreasonable and is just an obsevation from my point. Like what Fate wrote it will stop others from doing it. If i bought it sole on that notion on an "overworld" others will to... i just think its better for everyone if it got removed so no one will feel stepped on.

    That's not that though, closing a thread cause of offtopic is stupid, moving the offtopic to another thread is smart. It was a legitimate problem that legitimately needed to be addressed, closing a thread is just a way of saying "NANA STFU IM RIGHT DEAL WITH IT" and is extremely childish. <- This is not directed at Rayne at all, this is directed at general moderation ,please understand.

    Just because you people don't WANT to talk about it doesn't mean it's not something that needs to talk about, this is a common problem on the forums, but since it's offtopic I won't mention it here. This is now not offtopic but completely ontopic as it is it's own thread.

    Windmill thing, happening? Trap? Smelter? Medkits? There's lots of things that could but won't or will, who knows.

    My mistake. I didnt notice the clean up note in the blog before now. Maybe it is because its written before the notion that overworld is gone.
    Its like this: "hmm *read* *read* hmm ok. *read* No overworld? Oh god no! *Everything pre-overworld gets forgotten* *hollow hole inside chest sucks in soul*

    So KAG 2: this time its personal is gonna have overworld right?
    They could also release it as a sort of DLC type deal, I'd fork over 10 more bucks for it.

    ^ we cannot promise that "KAG 2" will be a thing or that the Overworld will come into being, only express that it's something we'd be interested in working on in the future. Game development on this scale doesn't work when you start promising things that'll take ages to complete to people - we can't say "well, we've promised it, lets put 50 workers on that and make it happen". I wouldn't want to be working in that kind of environment, but we have to be very careful about saying anything "will" happen - it's very hard to make those sort of guarantees.

    Id pay 50$ for a fleshed out single player zombie fortress adventure. Im not kidding. Im the minecrafter guy. I absolutly love terraria. But it has no real threat. Like in minecraft the exploring is great but once you make your castle and traps, nothing will EVER threaten you.
    I actually struggle with the zombie SP in KAG and im having insanly fun!

    I, too, love the challenge of zombies in KAG, because of the varied way combat works as opposed to Terraria, and because of glorious physics. I do hope there will be more variety of zombies in the future, though, or more invasive maneuvers by monsters. MP servers often just turn into camp fests.
    Some changes to that mode alone would make KAG worth 50$ alone, for the amount of time I already put into it.

    Yep, just to confirm what Geti has already said, we are well aware of the (already old) state of the website and will be updating it's contents to reflect our intentions very soon. At this point, the last thing we want to be is misleading.
