To many servers

WOW the server list has gone from 30 to 72 i think we have explained how to host servers to easy because now everyones basically got there own :O it's so hard to find the servers you want :(
also all of them are home connections :O i am a repeat offender i do host a home connection all the time but i've been using mine for a long time :P
now i'm not a freebie discriminator but maybe make it so only premiums can host one? i was freebie for ages and i know this will make alot of people angry.

PS. i'm thinking of using an actual server if someone can give me details like: price, location, the best ones, and how many game servers can you run at a time? please and thank you

 

If you know most players of KAG is not premium, if you know alot of servers are gold off and only few gold servers, this is a bad idea. Also, servers hosted in a home computer isn't bad (has exemple, Rayne's servers).

 

yes i agree some home connection servers do work well :) and what i mean about the premiums is that to run a server you must be premium or something just to make it so less new people are trying to host.

this could be fixed also by adding a new server list, maybe something that you can specialise servers more and have a favourites list?

 

I just don't understand why you seem to think alot of servers is a problem. This isn't a problem, it's good to have alot of servers.

Well, a new server list format is already planned and suggested if i'm right.

 

KAG isn't complete so servers may not be the best.

And if you want to know about where to buy a server, just check somewhere on the forums, the search button is good.

 

Premiums only host one?
Not everyone wants to play with random guys over the world (friends/family) and not everyone would want to buy a game just for that.

Search bar in the server browser and favourite tab.

 

Creille I bet you if you were not prem you would not be wanting only prems to be able to host servers.

 

The more servers available, the better. More servers = more competition, more competition = more diversity, more diversity = more interesting mods/gamemodes that suit for people's different needs. And I mean this for both freebies and paid.

Competition is ALWAYS a good thing, even if people don't actually like it. It's the driving force for innovation.

 

How about we make country dedicated portals. For example, Russian servers are in the Russian portal and australian servers are in AUS servers.

Meh I don't think there are too much, just a lot. I mean there will always be the few popular and full ones, so that high amount of low-populated servers doesn't bother me that much.

 

Servers are good like that. We don't need this.

 

It doesn't matter how many servers there are if they're all crap. I can never find a good RTDM map, my favourites used to be Dedicated and Bar brawl! they put a password on DEDICATED! GRR... So it looks like the only good server up now is rootcoma CTF!

So I don't really care if the server is "run from home" or premiums are the only ones that can host!

 

LAy if off on the server owners. It's hard enough to keep a server running. If your so unhappy, why don't you go make a server?

Then maybe its not their fault, they set up the server and you connect to it. If you don't like it why don't you move close to the server or get better internet instead on blaming on the server.

I doubt your mum and dad would let you get better internet just because KAG is running shit. my mum and dad wouldn't either... :(

 

Vulgar language mate. Still, maybe get an internet cable and plug it into your computer and modem. that will make it better
