Oh KAG, let me count the ways~!

    1) Mac and Linux support (shows you guys care!)
    2) Terrific community that I enjoy murdering, helping, and talking to
    3) Hilarious physics engine
    4) A multiplayer with no funny-business (I'm looking at you, Valve!)
    5) A great graphics direction
    6) Fast-paced re-playable gameplay, that varies every game
    7) Mod support
    8) Cheap and unique, the perfect example of an indie game
    9) The simple formula of players making bases and maps then fighting over them that I've been looking for
    10) Hilarious gibbing
    11) Rave towers!
    12) Kegs!
    13) Frequent updates that give off a real sense of progression of the game (I'm looking at you, Starfarer!)
    14) A very caring and lovable set of guards and admins
    15) One of the best forums I've ever had the joy to contribute to
    16) :D

I could ramble on forever, but I won't.

    Fun.
    Social.
    Exciting.
    Fast paced.
Cheap. (As in cost, I would pay way way more)
    Great community.
    Easy to play. (In ways)

I could keep this going but I won't.

I love KAG, noy only because of the awesome fun, or the simple yet genius mechanics.. But because these developers know exactly what is needed to push the game forward, they don't add shitty random stuff just for the point of it, every single thing they add to this game has a good reason and interacts well with the rest of it.
And, a $60 game keeps me entertained for, what.. a couple weeks? Maybe a bit longer. KAG was $10 for me (Theres a slighty finny story how I got it :P ), and has been my favourite for over 6 months, and I don't plan on leaving.. ever :D

    Honestly, $60 = Max. 1 month, and $10 = Well over 6 months..

KAG is just fun. I have played other games like it such as Terraria and Minecraft, but neither of those have "hooked" me as much as KAG has... I would play the other games for a week or two, but they would just seem to get old fast.

i like kag because you blow shit up
And all my friends think the game relates to terraria.
Just a saying: The early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.

Haha! By six days. Then I rephrase that phrase to: The early bird gets the worm, and the early mouse gets nothing.

I like KAG because of all the stupid people who support nerfs. Then, after they nerf one class they buff that class again and they are right back where they started. Not doing anything productive, making fools of themselves and making me laugh are all effective ways of making me feel good. :B):

I play games because they have stories, and I can be part of them.
I also play games because I can make my own story.
KAG has neither of those options.
So I play KAG, and like it because it is fun (and free)

I like KAG because despite it's simplicity, the construction/destruction makes games incredibly varied. The skill ceiling may not be as high as other games, but the teamwork required to win is great. Also, the melee combat is the best in any platformer I've ever played.

When the DEVS made the game they based it around these 4 games to create something MAGICAL! :D

http://kag2d.com/en/about <== Copy paste from here.

Think the creative aspects of Minecraft, plus the fortress-building mechanic of Dwarf Fortress, plus the strategy of Age of Empires 2, plus the fast-paced class-based craziness of Team Fortress 2

So there are games like it but they have just taken out little chunks of these games so you tend not to notice... BUT THERES NOTHING WRONG IN THAT! :D
