I'm into science and science fiction. Here's what I've read through in the past couple months:
Brave New World - by Aldous Huxley
1984 - by George Orwell (extremely depressing story, but gives a great perspective)
Death by Black Hole - And Other Cosmic Quandaries - By Niel Degrasse Tyson (great for those interested in physics)
Siddhartha - by Hermann Hesse (the life story of a man in pursuit of his own spirituality; very good read, got teary-eyed a couple times)
The Selfish Gene - by Richard Dawkins (this one gives a whole new perspective on the meanings of evolution and consequently, life)
The Moral Landscape - by Sam Harris (condenses very expansive moral ideas into more understandable and practical bits, excellent read)
This is Your Brain on Music - Daniel Levitin (explores the meaning of music on the level of neuroscience, very technical, but is a great help for those learning music and/or neuroscience)

I just read Artemis Fowl for school, I liked his style of writing, so I am halfway through another one of his books. (The lead on were taken by a few other guys)

I just finished reading The Whole Deal with Kiffo and the Pitbull. (Will be finding his other books)

I read The Hunger Games a few years back. (Before it was even thought of being a movie) My friend was a big reader and found it, he finished it. Googled when the next one came out the next day, what a coincidence.

I have read every single book by Matthew Reilly. (Own a few) If you like books with action adventure I suggest this guy. He is more aimed at adults for the smaller kids, with obscenities. (I know, watch out)

I picked up a random book from the library the other day; The Blood Red Road or something like that.

On my kindle I have bought most of the Phoenix Files I still have one or two of the latest to catch up on. (Something like 5?)

I have also been writing and reading through my own work on the forums, there is a link in my signature.

On the book Eragon I heard he was high half the time that was written. Marijuana has calming effects so maybe that helped.

Edit// I don't read to much, more stints as such.
