How should I get my group popular?

I wasn't sure if this goes here, so a mod can move it if needed.

I am looking to get my new building group popular. (So far I'm the only member, and I'm the owner :( )
Does anyone have any suggestions?

 

The solution to this is Signatures: see how below this reply there is a bunch of stuff to do with me?
well you can get one of these with pictures or just witing:
go to the top of the page
hover you cursor over your name (next to inbox)
it should come up with a little tab
then there is a link: Signature
write whatever you want :D

If it's a clan go wear the TAG and start pwning people, that gets you noticed.
if it's just a group why don't you try and host a server and advertise in it's description? or if your really desperate ask other people to advertise for you.

Just get a bunch of good people and organize yourselfs to always play together and people will notice your clan . . . and they might apply for it

 

I definitely agree with Creille. Let me just share some good rules to follow(which I never followed and now everyone hates my guts(some people))

GOLDEN RULE

1. Be polite(no frequent cursing, no foul jokes at all). Be efficient. Have a plan to kill everyone you meet. - Sniper TF2

GENERAL RULES

1. Make sure you stay up-to-date on KAG in general which means reading the dev-logs and staying active in the forums.
2. Play often(based on your schedule).
3. Don't be an arse(which means being arrogant - make sure to compliment your team/individual players on a job well done)
4. Help noobs(don't berate them)
5. Never grif.

 

And how would I go about getting one of those pictures? For now I'll just write something.

 

Wearing the TBG tag in game is I think one of the best ways to get your clan noticed. Look out for people that show an interest in building and invite them. To get a clan/group started off, you need recruits. :D

 

Yah. I agree. I'm gonna go on a few servers and try to get some recruits.

Meh. Just went on a few servers. Only found one person who was slightly interested. Most people are already in one of the huge clans.

 

Don't give up. Being persistent is part of being a good player/ clan leader, at least not to the point where your BEGGING people. Anyway - I'm sure you'll find someone that will be a devoted clan member.

 

Certainly hope so. All the other building groups are either completely abandoned, or they're these huge groups you have no chance of getting into.

 

To make your clan popular just show how a good builder you are in-game, (being useful to your team, not minecrafting/tunneling the whole game, etc) so people will say "THIS GUY GOOD :o can I join plz gibbe rcon" Though I'd recommend to be selective with the members (No one wants to join a clan full of random gay eskimos who spam spikes everywhere)

The signature is a good idea too (though it could be linked to the group page...)

Hey, I've been looking for one of these sorts of clan for a while, and I'd love to help out in a growing clan. I am based in Australia, though, and it may be difficult to meet you in-game.

EDIT: I must of messed up my autoconfig. It's fixed now.

Edit about server: I set the server up with a server tool, but it didn't work. Dang it, I'll try again tomorrow.
