So do I. It's almost exactly like Photoshop except it's free.

 

And more pixels.
And less compatibility.
And less smoothness.
And less tools.
And a difficult to navigate tool bar.
But yeah, I use paint. Who would pay a hundred and something for a freaking art program?

 

I have no idea how to use photoshop for making sprites.

 

Are you going for a roman style texture pack here? :P
Seeing you already have one themed after samurais.

 

Yup, roman style... I think I forgot to add that in the OP post, I'll do it now.

 

Just some suggestions then.
(Think you probably thought them through anyway).
Make the flags something valuable?
Knights= infantry with gladius/ gladiators.
Builder= architect?

 

I already have an idea over the knights and builders, but the archers... hmm... I'm still thinking for ideas. The flag might be something like this (<--- click it), though the small amount of pixels might make it difficult.

 

If you need ideas look up Rome Total War Units. It is an epic game.

 

I could help you with heads if misKa isnt already, I am almost as skilled, if not equal(a bold statement I know, but I am good with heads :))

I'm waiting for mishKa to get on to see if I get permission to use Mishkatrons

 

I wanna get Rome Total War 2 but my Computer is slow and it probably can't even run Rome Total War 1 without taking a break every 2 hours.
Did you ever play the Alexander version? I wanted to but my computer wasn't compatible. (This was like 5 years ago, and I haven't tried it on my new Computer)
You're going to have use Music from Rome. If you don't I'll do it myself.
And the announcer sounds. Not the irritating ones that tell you to lower taxes, or to to use Phalanx formation, the one that gets really happy when you win.

 

There's some Total War music and Gladiator (movie) music.

Guys it's official! This pack is now a Mishkatron pack! Meaning that mishKa has given me permission to use his character sprites as a base. I can start on every class it since a basebody of the first sprite was made, though not the entire sprite sheet has been released yet.

So I worked on the builder for literally a few seconds and came up with this, I might add more details if needed. I cannot properly test this since I don't have the sprite sheet.

You could probably even leave the builder bald, for the default Builder head. Maybe add a beard or something, at the most.

 

Well that's the head that came with the base thing that mishKa provided with it. Anyway, I was making the chest plate for the knight which is now a thousand times easier to make on a Mishkatron than the original sprite.

Note that this is only the breastplate, the knight is not complete yet. It will have more stuff!
