Helping out the community?

Hello,
I only wanted to ask, But does anyone know in anyway I can help
out in the community. I don't want haters saying "omg you sucking up bla bla bla"
I just really want to help out, Ive done much to nothing to help KAG except playing it.
I want a idea to go towards my help KAG list. You may think I'm weird.... or i am sucking up. but I'm not.
This may be a unoriginal post but who cares, Leave some suggestions below saying how I can help.

Do what everyone else does, talk alot on the forums look at the help section.
If you even want to be like some people and buy more copies of the game :p. Its as simple as that. Besides that theres not much more we common people can do. Keep doing those things and it'll pay off in the end in some ways.

 

There's actually a lot you can do to help with the game. You can report bugs on Mantis, pitch KAG to game reviewers, report bad posts, help people asking for help, write good suggestions, make maps or texture packs (which may get added to the game, like Rayne's hat and my map) or any of the many other things. If you are a active player and good forum poster than you already contributing a lot.

Yeah you can tell friends about the game, record and report hacker/griefers, if you are artsy in any way you could do KAG-inspired artwork, you can host a server, if you have the money you could buy several premium accounts and then host competitions, you can try to become a server guard/admin, you can become a member of an active clan or make your own and participate in clan wars, you can think of ways to improve the community (events and stuff).

SirSalami made a KAG manual, you could make tutorials and stuff. I believe FBB is working on that though. You could police some of the servers on KAG (Mqrius reference), might get you forum guard status or admin on some servers. Whatever you think would be helpful to the community (and mo4r! :D:p).

So does hosting servers really help at all? And I think I could try making some maps..
And you said something about competitions app there^^ when and what sort are they and how do I find them?
So if I were to make some good maps or a head texture is it possible for them to get involved into the game as a default?

I was a server guard on the hatventures minecraft server and that was admin rank, is guard just a fancy word for admin?

Hey Slimmy,

well server hosting helps in that way that players have a greater choice where they want to play.
We have several very popular servers, each one of them a little bit different (different maps, gamemodes, players),
so I think it won't hurt, if you make it good.

The competitions that I know have been initiated by fellow KAG players who purchased a few premium codes and then set the guidelines.
So it is not something regular or hosted by the developer team.
Usually they have been about doing something KAG inspired, for example drawing, making good maps, writing stories.
I won my premium account and forum donator status by composing a orchestral piece,
so really anything is doable.
It depends on the competition host :)

About the maps: As far as I know it is possible to have good maps included in the game.

 

So I know I probably wouldn't get it, because I'm new and only one person really gets it a month but how would I ask to be acknowledged as someone who would like to become a guard?

You can help the community by just not whining about kills , Anything like that , even that stuff can spread around and go to the community where we'll be a great KAG community <3
