RP- The Shroud descends

I arrive at Calaper Caves. Two elves stood guard at the entrance.
'Halt!' an elf guard yelled. 'State your purpose.'
'I was told to meet here,' I replied, 'And that I'll meet a female named Ella.'
'Stay here,' one of the guards told me. Then he spoke to his partner. 'Watch her. I'll go get Ella.'
While waiting I decided to read a page from the book that I had packed.

Spoiler: Selinieth, Page 1

There once lived two brothers, Trenor and Divad. Sons to the town's leader, they were extremely wealthy. Trenor was strong, tall and popular with many, qualities that were looked with approval where they lived, while Divad was scrawny and weak, though a great thinker and believed to be one of the first to control the power of the wind. The brother's father, Reno, vastly favoured Trenor but made no presence to hide his adoration, often complementing him in public while scrutinizing Divad, often asking why he couldn't be more like his brother. Trenor was not a fool like his father and saw Divad's gifts. Trenor stood up for his brother and it was because of this that they were very close.

 

Light sets off throughout a town he hasnt been in before. As he walks down the streets he sees many different kinds of stores and people. He notices a blacksmith so he decides to walk over and talk.

Skills light magic and swordplay

I go to my house and go upon my bed to read through the Tomes of Wind Magic.

 

As Light conversanted with the blacksmith he had gotten permission to work there for the time being while they were in town. When afternoon hit he left work and decided to look for a library. As Light stumbled upon one he asked one of thy workers there some questions on a book he wanted.
"Excuse me?" Light asked
-Yes?- Thy employee said
"Do you have any books on wyverns of any sort?" He questioned
-Well yes of course we do but those creatures are far beyond extinction they are on the top floor- He answered
Light walked up the stairs and took out a few books from the library even though he was heavily injured he couldnt just slack around while his new friend raven worked himself off to become stronger. Light walked out through the town getting some food with the little pocket change he made from his work after he got some food he went straight to ravens house. Light knocks on the door "Oi!,Kiddo Raven let me in." He kept banging on the door like a child.

 

After reading through the first chapter, Raven sleeps. It was a long and strange day.

 

Light keeps banging at the door "God dam raven!" He yells and leans against the door sitting down *sigh* Light pulls out a blanket and sleeps against the door "I'll start training tomorrow..." He said as he doves off.

 

Ella followed the Elf guard outside to see what she recognised as Ugos's healer. "Hello," She smiled. "Your the healer who helped Ugos right? Aspathe?"

 

"Yes. I was told to meet you here, and that the others will arrive soon."

 

"Come on in while we wait."

 

I walk in, following Ella. There weremany elfs running around in the dank cave.

 

"Have a seat anywhere you like, we have a hunting group returning soon with some food."

Light gets up in the middle of the night and sighs while turning back towards the door to ravens house "Sorry kiddo..looks like we wont be together for much longer.." he says quietly while walking down the stairs towards the citys exit. Lights journey was supposed to continue with ravens but it seems like things are taking a different course he thought. Lights walks out of the citys gates and moves on heading to an unknown destination.

 

Raven got up, feeling refreshed. He goes through the tomes he's obtained. He noticed that a few pages has fallen out.

"Crimson Archsage reporting here.

The plans are going smooth so far. Arven's army has secured the kingdom, he went back to another continent though. Strangely enough, he hasn't told me or anyone else his plans. Anyway, the kingdom of Rune is now under our control. With the King and Queen, dead. Though, we've lost the prince... We have no idea where he's gone. We will try and track him down. He won't be a threat.

Arken Liferender, Crimson Archsage."

"I wonder when that was there... Kingdom of Rune. That sounds like something I should find out about!" Raven thought to himself.

 

I sit down, reading my book as I wait.

5th July
My brother, Trenor, was in the front garden with Father, showing him his skill with the bastard sword. It was a fine day, sunny with a slight breeze. I was tempted to join, but I knew I would be ridiculed by my father. Many have gathered around to see my sibling swing his two-handed sword around as if it was as light as a feather and I could not bear being embarrassed in front of them. I instead head into my room on the second floor to continue studying the scrolls I have had the luck to acquire while out walking.
It was covered in a strange, rune-like language, written in a spindly hand. However, perhaps the most interesting fact about it is, the text seems to glow in a light cyan hue. A cheer of admiration floats through my window, though directed at my brother. It was almost unbearable, to be treated like dirt like the way I am. I would have ran away by now if it wasn't for the distraction the mystery of the scrolls contained, and for the reassuring presence of my brother. It is like a curse. He is my cure and my bane. One day I will be recognized for what I am truly worth.

 

"Damnit, we were too late Ugos, I think they went to Retribution." So off they ventured until they found Light.

 

Light was walking on the side of the road rubbing his bandaged arms and wounds and all of a sudden he looks up and sees some familiar faces. -Snaps his finger- "I remember you!,Your............whats your names?" Light laughs while scratching the back of his head

 

"I'm Lark and he's Ugos, we're planning a siege to retake Temor from the shroud's zombie horde and we need everyone. By the way where's Raven?

 

"Huh...what happened to temor, and ravens back in Retribution he wont be able to help you. I might not be able to help much cause of my injurys but i can try you'll have to fill me in."
//You dont actually have to fill me in :p

 

"Ok," Lark took a deep breath in. "The shroud wanted revenge on Ella, so it attacked Temor, then it rose an army of undead from the Great Tomb where I came from to take over. The elves fled to the Calaper caves and settled there, then we went to find you then we had this talk… Ok?"
