Forum ranks

Currently everyone is a "Member" or "New Member". How about some forum ranks like you have them in every forum?

It would be also nice to recognize gold members here on the forum (since we even get "Access to hidden section of Official KAG Forums" according to KAG's future post). So there should be the rank "Gold/Premium member". I think that shouldn't be too hard to implement because the credentials are the same as on kag2d.com and the game.

And while we're at it: I'm specially interested in the official people's posts (MM, Geti, citricsquid, Garciat, etc.). I know that I can "follow" them to easily see where they are posting but I would appreciate it if their forum rank and/or name stand out a bit. Sometimes (especially in long threads) I just scan for posts of them and atm it's hard to see it (Geti, get an avatar... ). So there should be a dev's rank (besides the moderators) too.

EDIT: Oh and I almost forgot. Look at my Message Count. It also includes all of my old posts. I know that this didn't work initially but since citricsquid was able to manually bring them old posts back...why not for everyone? :v

Member
Gold member <-- Only for people who have bought gold obviously
(Gold)Hero member <-- Gold members would have in every next rank still the Gold in their name
The (Gold) Angel of Death member <-- well perhaps not the 'member' after that :p Gold again just for players who have it

Furai, he means ranks based on post count, and presuming clan chat and off topic will become 0 post count areas, then yes yes yes I want this!

Have about 650 old posts to recover if you don't count off topic and clan chat!

Exactly. I was about the first who accessed the new forum after citricsquid set it up. So I registered, reclaimed my old posts and yelled at him that the "Message Count" didn't update. And he said something like "oh, I missed that." and then 1min later "fixed!". Seems like it's not properly fixed.

 

Can we all yell at him to get our post count back?

 

Go to #KAG and ask him. If it is something he has to do manually for every user this would be too time consuming. But wherever the issue lies it should be scriptable so if citricsquid is online: Go for it!

 

We already asked him. He's always afk. No offense citric.

Why is the archer considered the best and builder worst? I shouldn't be based on the classes. Also having a rank with the word "forum" in it seems a bit redundant.

 

Well, I agree that ranks = classes could lead to confusion but something like that is what I had in mind.

Oh and how about a forum rank for the "Royal KAG Guard"?
