Ugos prodded the feisty dino boy. "Don't you be trash talking my race, grasshopper. I won't have that."

"Hey, we never came along and brutally slaughtered your race! Also, I don't know why, but I had the impulse to keep Lark's skull." Frost pulled out Lark's skull from his bag, it was battered and chipped, but still intact.

Ella couldn't help feeling slightly guilty that the last words she had spoken to the old skeleton weren't exactly nice. She wanted to know how he died, but instead brushed it aside. "That's kinda morbid," Ella said, squinting at the skull. "Anyway, it's fine with me if you tag along, don't know about Ugos here though," She looked over at Ugos, waiting for his answer.

"Sure, sure…"" Frost's tongue flickered out, then back into his mouth. "A cold storm is coming, believe me when I say this, Saurians do not cope well with cold. I've had friends die to blizzards… we need to get to warmth…" Frost spotted a cave, "over there!" he shouted, charging off towards the cavern.

"Well ain't this a comfy little cave..."
Ugos grumbled as he attempted to find a suitable seat, wiggling around determinedly.
In the end, he cast a small spell and rose some hardened mud from the ground to create a small stool.
    "Ahhhhh, much better.."
He saw the Saurian's startled expression.
"Oh yeah, I can do more than whack stuff."

"That's good to know," Frost replied in a friendly tone. "I'm not too skilled at water magic yet, but I found in my early years I could talk to reptiles. But enough about me…" Frost stood up, "I'd like to know things about you."

Ugos matched his height while sitting, so he decided to make sure the young man knew who was boss.
He stood up and peered down at Frost.
"Eh? What exactly would you like to know?
I'm... homeless, family-less and Ella is the only friend I can bloody trust anymore. That damned skeleton led us into far more troubles than I dare to count, and let me say this; If you mess with either one of us, you will have earned a one way ticket to the afterlife, mister."

"Hey, hey, calm down, It's not like I'm going to eat you in your sleep." He said, "I'm trying to find my way around here, and if I'm not wanted here, I'll go somewhere else. That's what you're trying to say here, is it not?"
Frost threw around an orb of water, "you lot particularly thirsty? The water down in the river's not safe to drink..."

"Cleaner than the sword of an Araxo Guardian," Frost conjured the water, "say... I'm going to need help practicing my water magic, could you happen to help later?" Unexpectedly, a storm was starting to brew, it started to rain, "that rain water's not safe to drink either..." A lightning flash struck with an almighty crash, "heavens above! Anyone who stays out there for too long will be toasted like a dragon's breath!"

"What's gonna happen 'bout the battle now?"
    ...
"None of our business, I suppose. Maybe yours. Anyway, I can start a fire if someone's willing to get a few pieces of timber before it all gets too thoroughly soaked..."

"Fire?" Frost seemed very uneasy, he started to act a bit more, nervous.

"GWAHAHAH! Little boy scared o' fire? Never sat around a campfire 'afore?"
He raised his sword and the runes glistened hotly.
"This beauty'll set a roaring blaze with no effort at all. Now, if ye want to survive the night, I suggest you get some timber while I get this thing working."

"You don't understand, you don't know why fire is horrible, you don't know what it's done..." Frost stood up to get some timber from outside, "I'm going outside to get the timber, I may be a couple of minutes." Frost strode outside, he was not excited, Saurian hide makes a very good conductor, add some water, and you do not have a good time.

Ella sighed as she watched the Saurian disappear into the rain. "You could at least try to get along. I mean, we're all going to be stuck together until this storm clears up."

Frost hacked away at the trees, "goddamn fire, hate the stuff..." Frost heard a crackling noise, "now, now, that's not very nice to say within earshot of someone." Frost jerked his head around to see a fire elemental, the heat burning the very rain around it, Frost unsheathed his sword, charging at it.

The sword became red hot forcing Frost to drop it, he tried to throw a punch, but the elemental's burning fist caught it. Frost winced at the pain surging through his hand, the elemental placed his other hand on Frost's head, and the valley was echoing with Frost's dinosauresque screams.

A scream echoed through the forest, reaching the cave where Ella and Ugos sat. Ella leapt up, "Be right back," She said Ugos, who appeared to have dozed off. She rushed out into the rain, charging through the trees towards the screeching sound.

"Hey! Get away from him!" She yelled at the fire elemental. Frost's face was twisted into a knot of pain, as the creature showed no mercy, singing his scales. She placed her hands together, and sent a beam of light straight for it.

The light beam connected with the elemental, drawing its attention to her. It released Frost from its deadly grip, Frost falling, a red hand mark standing out from his blue scales, the elemental was clouded in steam as the rain evaporated on its skin. Frost went for a chop at its exposed leg, it connected, chopping right through, but it was simply replaced with more fire.

The storm was becoming fairly violent and the sky had lost all of its original colour long ago. Rain drops pelted furiously at Aspathe as she ran towards the battle. Finally the trees thinned and she saw the village. A group of Orcs were fighting against some Saurians who outnumbered them. Aspathe ran towards them, her staff itching for blood. Strange, she thought. Something smells like burning.
