honestly, a lot of things in that song were good in concept, but i feel you didn't execute them well enough. i really liked those high synths you had in there, but was disappointed that you didnt do more with them.

i'm giving you feedback, use it to better your music, instead of using excuses like "i'm new"

EDIT: also, i just took a look at this "dubcube" and i suggest you get a real DAW if you want to make dubstep.

The drum patterns are really jumbled up. Once I hit 0:12 I'm completely lost on what the beat is trying to deliver. Maybe you should cut out a bit of it so the audience can get a better feel.

The beats were good at some bits but at some were abit out of place. You just have to make it run a bit more smoothley. 25252525

I agree with funny monkey, you could tweak the synchronization.

The start of the song gives off an interesting grudgy bass (yug-yug-yug-yug) complicated by another acid-grudgy thing that draws the listener in. Pretty interesting to say the least. I feel like you jumped the gun at 0:11 when the organ pipe sounds came in. Now it sounds all jumbled and I as the listener am not sure what you're trying to communicate for the rest of the song. There are too many elements to focus on. Maybe try cutting down to 2-3 elements, such as the bass, beat, and main lead. Use those little complicators (like the organ pipe sound) SPARINGLY.

    My 2 cents.

  11. The first one, 'dubstep_1', is pretty cool. I'd have to agree in saying the drumbeat is too chaotic, but aside from that it's a pretty cool piece.

The second one feels like it has a lot of promise, but then loses its focus. The synths are a bit... odd. I can't really describe it, but it feels... a bit atonal. Like it's in there for the sake of being in there; the bassy sound doesn't really go with it, and then dies out completely.

What this kinda reminds me of, is not dubstep, but mathstep. This is a variant of dubstep with a strange time signature, hence it sounds intricate and complex, 'mathematical' in origin.

this is really really bad and you should stop doing it. Learn to play a real instrument first

it's not about a time signature, this kid has no sense of rhythm whatsoever

Good for you accepting the challenge. When you post the song, tell us what you've done differently from your past 2 shots, what you've improved on, and maybe sprinkle a few questions "hey guys, what do you think of the _____ at time marker _:_ _ ? It seems to me ____________." This is a good reflective process and it will give us more specification on where you want us to critique. It'll be tiring for us if you post "hey guys what do you think" and then blankly post a new song every time. If you want feedback, give us specifics!

The second song here makes a lot more sense rhythmically and the song elements flow well together. Although I'm a little suspicious on your major improvement in rhythm... like that was too large of an improvement from your last 3 attempts. Anyways, produce another one, I'm interested in hearing more samurai music.

On samurai_mine, the drum pattern at 0:23 - 0:52 could be a less to emphasize the strings. Very dramatic and exciting. Keep up with the improvement.

actully, i got the inspiration from a song i found when i was cleaning up my computer.
it was a song from a kag texture pack. (kant remember what it was though)
I did take a few samples from the song as well, so it should have been: samurai_sorta-mine
