Ugos remounted his dinosaur and turned around to see the raging beast, the one they called... Cygor? It looked very wounded and Ugos realised everyone near it would be crushed. No point trying to get them to retreat and fire their arrows/spells, he thought. Shame..

Frost clambered back, the sword missing by a hair's width, Lord Skorge was subsequently enraged, charging forward once more. Frost ran, and when he had lost sight of Lord Skorge, hid behind a rock, he had an awful shock when he peeked out to see Lord Skorge standing in front of it, "Where are you little lizard? Come out so I, Lord Skorge, can kill you..." Frost winced as he prepared for the painful end... which never came.

He couldn't see Frost, so walked off, Frost sighing with relief, looked to see the battle's progress. The Cygor was the only creature left, but it was ripping through the Orcs and Saurians easily, like a rocket of darkness, an unrecognizable dark figure slammed into the, pushing it back. The Cygor tried to walk forwards, but didn't realize the cliff edge behind it, the dark figure pulled out a sword, Frost recognizing it as Lord Skorge smashed it off the cliff. The Cygor roared, but, as it tumbled down, it grabbed Lord Skorge's leg, pulling him down as well, "I'll be back Frost!" was all Lord Skorge shouted as he plummeted to the hard ground below.

//What cliff, isn't it a huge battlefield? :s just please explain what and how and when and where is going on for you right now, dik about the others but all I can make of this is that somehow Skorge is back and gone again, there was a black goo(?), Frost and Skorge somehow know each other's names and are already arch enemies and the Cygor fell off a cliff, which was situated IN the trees.
    Confuzzled :s

I thought there was a cliff near the orc village, which is where it is taking place... D: Frost only heard Lord Skorge's name, and Skorge's pissed that he didn't get to kill him. Skorge is black goo, but can harden himself... X3

:D I don't want to reveal everything right away though, :l If I did, it wouldn't be fun, and the Cygor, you said the battle took place behind trees... Which would mean, that anything could be behind? D; I can edit it to not be a cliff, but, I had the idea in my head of the area around the orc village having cliffs and hills... :l

//Well you cleared it up well X) I was imagining the orc village in just a large, brown, battlefield-type area which stretched flat for miles.
    My bad.

//K... as I have very little idea where all this is taking place, I'm just gonna wing my character's entry. As far as I know you guys are at a random orc village somewhere. It kinda looks like you guys don't have much idea what the terrain is like there either. xD

For many nights now, the only sound Vesuvis had known was the sound of the waves lapping quietly against the hull of the ship. At night, the lapping was incessant, beckoning him to rest despite at first its unknown and foreign sound. Vesuvis quickly got used to it as the days continued on, and it became as a lullaby to him to put him to sleep. By his estimations, Vesuvis thought he had been at sea for two weeks at the most. As land neared, Vesuvis realized he would come to miss the sound of water against the ship, and was disappointed that this leg of the journey had to end, for he had grown quite complacent with it.

Yet, at the same time, he was thrilled. This was a foreign land across the great sea, only kept in contact by the adventurous Dwilight folk, who pursued wealth or glory. Few Morekians had trekked this land to any extent. He would be one of the first to go inland any distance at all. A sense of pride bubbled forth within Vesuvis, as he sought to bring great honor to his realm across the ocean. However, his main reason for coming was the lack of adventure. He knew deep down that this land offered a great amount of drama, intrigue and excitement. Oh how he longed to be on land now!

The vessel he had journeyed in cut swiftly through the waves. Its great wooden hull was crafted by the most astute carpenters, and manned by veteran sailors. Within its hold carried trinkets of great variety: metalcrafts, woodcrafts, precious stones, textiles, and many other goods brought from the motherland. Traders licked their fingers at the thought of selling their goods and acquiring the local handiwork to sell at profit back at home. Vesuvis had very little to do with that, and only depended on them for travel. Yet he admired their courage at their willingness to voyage great length to make a few coins.

Alas, the ship cast out its ropes to the docks, and dropped its anchor. The men hastily set to work to write paperwork to the local authorities or unload cargo. Vesuvis hopped out of the boat and on to the docks. He looked back at his squire holding his scanty valuables that he had brought with him in the journey. He called to him, "Come forth, Vos! This land is but at our feet to be trodden on!" The squire, always a loyal subject to his lord, smiled weakly, burdened by the heavy equipment, and shuffled forward down the planks to follow Vesuvis.

Vesuvis smiled. He gazed fondly upon the small town that he had been dispatched on and thought upon his future. It would indeed be a great adventure.

//The sky is the limit from here, Your choice what to do, you can stay in the unnamed village, get to know them... Or leave straight away :l

Frost was out of here for now, he was heading to Slath, for that's where his parents were. He hoped that this Beastman occurrence, could at least further relations between Saurians and Orcs. He hissed, and a Lafosaur appeared, it was like a horse, but a lot faster, already he could see that the Shroud blocking the sun was beginning to take its toll.

The surrounding area was beginning to be drenched in snow, everywhere, making the ground hard to travel through. A blizzard was already starting to pick up, whipping anyone not inside with gale winds. "Go! To Slath! Hurry now!" he shouted in Scalothian to the Lafosaur, galvanized into action, it picked up pace.

He stopped beside Ugos, "I must go, to see to my kin, good luck!" he hissed once more and the Lafosaur shot off at high speed. Night was falling, and the previously barren terrain, was now like a white sea, he would be at Slath by the morning.

The town felt small compared to the great cities in the homeland. The names of Donghaiwei, Goldenfarrow and the sprawling metropolis of Darfix were beheld in Vesuvis mind. Spires of gold, walls of marble and houses of ivory were wonders already seen by Vesuvis. It would have taken a city of spectacular proportions and architecture to amaze him.

Of course, the wealth of the city's infrastructure was of little regard in Vesuvis' mind than the wealth of the city's people. Even in the small town Vesuvis was in, he was mystified by the different assortment of inhabitants that populated it. Humans lived side by side with creatures of varying devilry. Creatures that looked as humans, yet their ears were pointed, and bore a regal aurora around them, creatures that looked like animals, yet walked upright and spoke in languages discernible by a potent ear. Then, there were creatures of utmost daimonism, twisted in form; soul and body together, revealing their thoughts only through arts which the priests dare venture using. A mixed feeling of disgust and interest befell Vesuvis over these creatures. He looked upon them in curiosity and fear. His hand was kept closely to his sheath, and he uttered a short prayer to the Bloodstars.

When no evil came about from them, Vesuvis was relieved. Undaunted, he called over his squire and whispered, "Vos, I am in extreme dislike of these natives. Come I have had enough of these foul creatures. Though honest men live here, they bed these monsters, and I am in no intent of seeing such perversions."

With that decisions made, Vesuvis left the town on a northern rode, never learning the name of the town. With a skip in his step, he yearned to bring far greater glory than that town could offer him. Whistling a tune from the bards of his homeland, he traveled upon a long rode not knowing where it would take him.

Ugos muttered something about young boys and hotheadedness as he saw Frost charge by him, on a strange looking animal.
Holding a hand out, he felt tiny flakes of snow gathering in his palm. He turned towards the Shroud, bitter memories flooding through him anew.
He gripped what was left of his sword (the hilt), and smacked it into his metal gauntlet Light once fashioned for him. The pommel cracked and made a strange sound.
    "What have I done, brother..?"
He looked down at his pulsing coloured veins and closed his eyes.
    "What have I done..."

Frost's eyes were weary, he hadn't made it far yet, but he was tired. He slumped forward, just wishing he would arrive, "so tired..." he whispered, but no one could hear him. He peered out into the blizzard, he could see a figure, it looked real, and it withdrew a sword, Frost had no idea that he was hallucinating, and thought it was that Skorge thing from before.

He panicked, "go!" he shouted to his steed, he had to get away from that thing, he looked around, the figure was everywhere. "No, no!" he jerked his head around, brandishing his sword to the nightmarish visions that were all around him. He blinked and they were gone, "must have been seeing things..." he picked up pace again, but he was still thinking about the dark figure from before. That ultimately lead to his downfall, he failed to noticed the crouching furry predator until it leaped up at the Lafosaur, clambering on, Frost yelled in surprise, knocking the creature off, but it was too late. The Lafosaur drooped its head and swerved off the road, losing its footing on a hill and tripping, Frost tried to shield his fall but got a mouthful of snow, and then he closed his eyes.

The first sense that came back to Frost was taste, the taste of his own blood, to be rather specific, then sight, of the snow all around him. He crawled back to the road, leaving a trail of blood, there was blood all over him, really, he needed to find someone... FAST. It looked like his prayers had been answered, for he saw a humanoid shape on a horse, followed by another, he tried to speak, but his throat was as dry as the blood on his arms. He finally managed to muster up enough energy to make a recognizable sound, "Hey! Over here... Please help..." he croaked, now all he could do is wait...

For days now Vesuvis had been traveling the road. Humans and creatures trekked past him no more uttering a few a words or casting a worrying glance at him. The road was no treacherous since it was well worn from the use of many feet. Neither did it seem dangerous, as the creatures that past him seemed weak, slim from malnourishment. Many did not even bear weapons, but scurried along with nothing but their own determination of will. Occasionally Vesuvis would stop to speak with a few of them, talking with them in their own foreign tongue.

The few words that past between them were not tales of joy, but of death and battle. Vesuvis could gather that blood had been spilled in the land in the direction he was traveling. The gloominess of the passerby told of creatures called an orc with inhuman like cruelty, and injustice perpetuated against all living things of the highest caliber. The information was hazy at best, but Vesuvis knew he could perhaps nudge his way into whatever conflict there was and reveal himself to be quite glorious.

Already Vesuvis could see his name being etched into the stones with writings of the local tongue and being honored for eternity after he had accomplished great things. He turned to Vos and said, "Vos, we have come upon our first adventure!"

Vos replied, "Milord, are we not already on an adventure?"

"Indeed, we are. For it is just beginning!" Vesuvis smiled and stretched his arm outward into the distance, "This land is our clay, let us mold ourselves a vessel of purity! Press onwards!" At the urgings of Vesuvis, the duo quickened their pace.

It was a couple days later when Vos heard the hissing of a strange creature. At once, Vesuvis had his hand upon his sword, ready. They crept slowly through the fresh snow and saw much blood spattered across. The blood trailed along until it ended at the body of a scaly creature. It was hissing and making strange noises and it bore the wounds of many sharp weapons. Its eyes were barely open squinting through its own blood.

Vesuvis couldn't bare to look upon it. He handed Vos his lance and said, "Put that thing out of its misery. Though it is beast, no such creature should deserve to suffer such a horrible long drawn death."

Vos nodded and took the lance, and stood near to the creature. It was indeed a pitiful to see it moan and his lord was correct in easing the suffering of the poor creature. In preparation he lifted the lance and aimed the point in a position where it would be quick....
