Texture Pack: the Merciless Knight

GIMP works well. Grids and layers make it easy to edit. And its free!
You can also use MS paint, but that's just silly xD

 

I use a game development's sprite editor, GM8.

Works very well.

Also, I had to restart the work on the builder. Expect it Sunday-Monday.

 

Paint, Paint.NET, Photoshop, GIMP... THE LIST IS ENDLESS! :)

 

Here's some constructive criticism on your knights; Try to change the helmet (not the face, its ok) if you can, Try coloring the shoulder plates and see if you like it or not, try changing the normal box shield into a kite shield or a buckler if you can. Tha's all :)

 

This is going really well with Turtle's orc sprites - ORCS VS KNIGHTS FTW...

I'm going to try to modify the helmet and maybe get a more sleeker design for the shield, but there are already accents on the shoulder of the team's color.

I like that subtle detail, so it'll probably stay.

This is actually 8.1... I have 8, but it's outdated, so they discontinued any use from it. Meaning if I want to make the RPG I was developing, I have to fork over $40 or find some way to do it with Lite.

Either way, this is what you are looking for.

(That is also why I never got to finish the builder texturepack.)

Dude, just use GIMP 2, its freeware and deserves your needs for sprites more as enough.

Are you routinely updating texture packs, or do you like this one? :D Anyway, i don't have the file any more due to a hard drive crash, so I will not be able to do it.
