    Almost every comment on that site is: "OH MAH GAWD WON'T THEY THINK OF THAT POOR POOR MOTH PAIN TO ANY LIVING BEING IS UNETHICAL!"

    Screw those people. Even if moths feel pain, the things we can do with this technology is far more important than the ethic issue with these moths, in my opinion.

    Basically they grew a rat brain and attached it to sensors and some motors! Then it drove around the lab causing havoc and stirring an AI rebellion...

    Well, they used rat brain cells.. not a complete rat brain. However having a processor on a sheet of glass that's made using brain cells - and it is enough to help navigate the robot is incredibly insane. I don't mind that cells were grown and used. It's when fully alive and healthy animals are chopped open and have electrodes stuck in their head that really bothers me.. it's still being done. Even to cats.

    One day though we might have the technology to play back a sensory recording like in the movie Strange Days. Then if you're a guy you can experience lesbian sex if you want haha.
