    I don't know, I constantly see teams with 5 halls making a comeback. The other team usually can't end them because they don't utilize all the halls they already have, only using the frontmost factories.

    I don't want to go back to laggy hotel designs.

    Personally i dont like the gamemode, it discourages building castles and proper defenses because players are constantly moving forward to capture the next hall, which is never a risk to do, which means it will be the top priority in every game. This means you do not really need much more than some hastily thrown together defense at the very forefront which in turn leads to variation in defenses used because it is never really all that important, which leads to more dull battlefields with no nice big castles on them. On a personal note i also feel that the removal of the team bridge (and the team door wall ladder) has made building proper defenses a bit more difficult, or atleast just different, those damn blocks that only the enemy can activate can even work hugely to your disadvantage at times. And that plus the addition of all the wonderful siege engines (those are fucking sweet) make the paultry defenses at each of the halls very easy to break down, further contributing to the dullness of the maps.

    And build time dosent fix this, because even if you have a giant fortress at your starting zone, if the enemy ever gets that far they have won anyway.

    I dont like the gamemode, but there is nothing wrong with it aside from balance issues, it is not my cup of tea, i just want CTF with a metric fuckton of buildtime back and have a jolly good time.

    For me, the first Beta release was the best :/ Maybe they should add old WAR but no delete Capture The Hall :|

    My personal opinion,I am not saying that TTH is bad, I like it, I play it everyday but considering playing the old builds, from farming till now, for me TTH is improved version of TDM, by improved I mean bigger maps and builder class added with big restrictions on building.

    Do you know what I like? I like seeing big tall castles, under siege, crumbling down when defeated, this is what I want to see, I would like to build a strong fort, that will withstand till the downfall of the enemy castle. And for me the game mode would be War, at War, you should be free to build whatever you want, whenever you want, in whatever numbers you want depending on your resources only.

    I understand, some people may dislike the hotel build, spamming beds for migrants, well there is a quick fix, double or triple the resources needed to make a bed, or increase the cost of a bed by 25 wood with every bed, and after 10 beds, a bed would cost 400 wood, anyway to the point.

    More freedom of building = more fun, at least for me, I am not sure about the people that like killing, but if they like that they should either join TDM or if they like little building but more killing join TTH now its time for more building while there is killing as well.

    Here is quick question, if there was a server right now with the hotel build or farming build would you like to play it while having TTH as well? I would play the hotel build because I play more as a builder I go as a knight when I finish building or there is enemy on my doorstep. And of course, if I get bored from building I can quickly join TTH build a few walls and few factories and go on a killing spree but if I get bored from killing and there is nothing more to build or no point to build more defenses where should I go?

    Actually at the moment I am trying to mod a little, I can successfully add nursery back into the builders building inventory [F] as well as dorms and war bases etc, but not sure how to spawn migrants when dorm is created.Hmm or I may try just to put the migrant and seeds into the trader menu.

    In everything there is positive and negative :D We could go without beds buying migrants from the trader which will enable more factories which in turn will encourage bigger castles, more building, more defenses.

    Were "minecrafters" that much of an issue? They become great assets at resource gathering, and all repair, in addition to building structures to hold back the enemy lines and workshops for acquisitions.

    As far as I can care, the issue is that there aren't that many dedicated builders trying to make the full use of their surroundings, and the halls, since a huge issue is being able to defend a capped hall, or a lack of resources since no one builds more workshops.


    Anyways, try FUN's war server, you may not like the amount of mining-crafting-building, but the action is constant, and the structures they build are very integral to pushing-defending-sustaining fronts. It is amazing.

    Also, as a further question, Amgtree, were you able to build workshops, like dorms, tunnels, and so on, like in FUN's War?
    If so, that's less restricting than it is in TTH, especially with where you could go with construction and raiding, while still giving a nod to builders, and action.

    One issue I have with the Halls mode. I built a saw trap at the entrance to one and when the hall was taken, many of my teammates would fall into the trap and have me get teamkills which resulted in me getting banned from the server. ::(:
