X and Y are amazing, I was up at midnight saturday downloading it XD


the whole eshop almost crashed

 

already got a lvl 69 florges, coz exp share

 

X and Y look fucking amazing but I don't have the hardware to play them :(

 

Only problem I have with X and Y is that the post elite-four content is extremely lacking compared to BW2. In BW2 you can get at least 9 legendaries (probably more), the PWT, and some rematches vs. N, Shadow triad, etc etc

1 of the legendary birds (depending on your starter: chespin = articuno, fennekin = Zapdos, Froakie = Moltres
Mewtwo and your box legendary (you may get this before E-four though, I not that far in XD)
rival rematches and some kind of battle tower/frontier equivalent

But this game makes it so much easier to battle competitive online, so I will still be playing this one long after the E4

lol its actually quite interesting to play online battles on X and Y right now, since poke-bank isn't out yet we can't transfer our old guys up. So now half of everyone is fighting with talonflame/blaziken/starter/starter/usually aegislash/usually sylveon

 

i play on pokeman bank ladder on showdown :)

By the time I'll get a 3Ds people will be stomping around mega Blazikens and Talonflames with me being "Ooh what's that?" and "How's this thing work?"

 

So since this is a general pokemon thread I decided I should just post this here and keep updating it.
Right now I'm doing a pokemon crystal randomizer nuzlocke. I will post videos of each gym battle and tell you stuff about my Pokemon,

First of all, I had a randomized choice of 3 starters.
Delibird
Golem
Teddiursa

I chose Delibird because it's a bird and I like birds and I've never used it before.
I named it "chicken" because I am shit with names. I'm thinking about naming my pokemanz about people on the forums here lol.

Turns out I fucked up because Delibird's only move is "Present". I shall randomize it again.
This time my starters were :
Ledian
Slowpoke
Scyther

I chose Slowpoke because I've never used him, poor scyther :'(
I decided to name it "no name" because I suck with names.

EDIT: Named my rival "PINGAS" and failed to catch a pokemon on route 29, it was an Alakazam. fail = 1

 

I'd just like to say Mega Charizard Y in Doubles is the most infuriating thing ever. I almost want a Pokemon ENTIRELY dedicated to killing him easily.

imho the biggest issue with charizard is it can run either physical X or special Y and they have different counters each

 

I don't think Greninja can OHKO 'cuz of the sun, unless you run HP Rock (which is nigh impossible to get with good base power unless you are on sim). You could also Heliolisk which outspeeds and smashes Char Y with a super effective, STAB, Thunderbolt. It can even get a big boost from Char Y's sun if it has Solar Power. But like Ej said unless you see a lot of sun abusers it typically won't be obvious what Charizard it is.

Though it shouldn't so hard to scout in doubles since you should be running lots of Protect/Fake Out anyways.
