    I just want to deals with fun.
    I discovered the last update some minutes ago, and I was afraid of the archer gameplay changes.
    Now the loading cursor is so slow, and you are simply unable to close fight and so you stay a defensive player behind your wall.
    I know this is the principal purpose of this character but hey! jumping everywhere and shooting arrows is so funny!
    Real fighters are not cowards!

    You have to be skilled to hit on the first attempt opponents who rush to your castle, , trying to hit them fastly when they forget to block or simply jump. But now it is nearly impossible.

    Knights are the strongest close fighters and attackers, why archers can not stay skilled defenders who can stop waves of opponents??
    Ok some archer features were too unbalanced, like being able to run fast while aiming and shooting and being able to cary a lot of bows, but I think that the knight's shield is now too overpowered regarding the currents archer changes.

    Also, Most archers panic a lot if a Knight comes close proximity to them, Which makes them bad defenders against a wave of knights. :eek:
    I suggest the Archer's Charged attack should pierce a knights shield. BUT causing only half-a-heart Damage to the Knight.
    Also the Arrow Capacity should be 100 for me after getting spammed by archers from a skybridge close to our base! :>:(:

    Honestly, archers should be for long range ONLY, they should not be able to fight at close at AT ALL! Thats why we have knights.
    Think about it like this.
    CloseRange: Knight+Archer=Knight.
    LongRange: Knight+Archer=Archer
    BaseDefence: Knight+Archer=Archer
    UnderGround: Knight+Archer=Knight

    Seems fair to me.

    I say Charge... 2 Archers vs 1 Knight =Archer wins..
    Archer+knight= Ultimate combo beast the archer charge his arrows and the knight charge the knight and boom + 1 pts

    I agree with that too. Archers should be able to shoot only with half of the charge or more, because the arrow spam sometimes they do when you try to break the stairs under them, or construct new ones.

    This was never the issue at all. Unless you count way back in the day of two heart knights and flat one damage arrows that could be fired as fast you could click, knights were generally better than archers and close range. Actually from about the time outposts were introduced to the time life limits were introduced, archers were mostly useless, though that's another issue.

    The issue is whether archers should be able to defend themselves at close range even a little bit. Particularly it was a question of allowing CQC archers like myself do what we like to do- charge suicidal into bunches of knights. The devs don't want us to ever get even a single kill on the most skilless knight in this manner, so they changed it to what you see today.

    After playing today, I agree with you. The shield down lasts milliseconds and theres absolutely no knockback. All I suggested was no damage on being stomped by an archer. I never wanted archer to never be able to kill a lone knight in close combat, I just thought it should be harder than it was. It seems whenever someone mentions that archer needs a change, it goes from one extreme to another, rather than small tweaks.

    Even with 2 Archers, the knight wins with shield blocking XD
    Happened to me with another archer. As i said Archers are pretty easy targets in close combat and the open

    Archers never have been, and never will be, the mainstay of an aggressive army.
    However, one knight plus one archer can destroy 5+ enemy knights at once, as long as they're both well informed on how to behave in a huge crush! :p
