ADVENTURE or KAGCraft

    Explore massive randomly-generated worlds with various Biomes and.. ..Music + Sounds from Minecraft.
    Build a house, explore, survive, craft, kill evil mobs and most of all, have fun!

    Someone once said, KAGCraft would happen sooner or later... and he was right.

    Goals
    • Massive randomly-generated worlds.
    • Crafting (Terraria like)
    • Single-class, axes/pickaxes/swords/bows to be equipped

    Just make sure the mobs are like KAG Alpha's ZOmbie Fortress, not Beta's Zombie Mod dumbassery.

    less resources or grind, and hopefully a better observation of combat.
    I'm simply interested in seeing how a b800 archer holds with a grapple hook.

    We're hoping for better implementation of custom tiles for modders to really improve this.

    How so? To me this looks a lot like it- same art style, same goals (gather resources and kill things).

    What do you mean same art style? This is still KAG you know.

    This is going more in the Minecraft direction and those are not the only goals.

    Well kag already has terraria-esque art. No need to start an argument, I can see that it isn't exactly terr aria, but it just reminded me of it.

    Biome Transitioning
    Without it you might have sudden dips or rises in terrain (due to the sudden change to the terrain generation variables per Biome), what is does is transition those variables.

    But then you fall into the vein of Starbound, in which you expect, rather presume, people care about these objects.
    If you want to talk about gear, you hit the problem of Terraria, and given how combat works in that game and mobs in this game, it's not pardonable. Kag is a game in which you can reasonably build, and reasonably defend; current game play, and trends have worked opposite of this. Adding to this divide would make game play as broken as Serne's Modded Zombies.


    If anything, I'd be most interested if there was a way to have infinite progression, and combat, but that would require something along the lines of constant state/stat decay.
    Teching can only get you so far ahead of the norm, and it'd be pretty expensive, but trying to keep up with the norm wouldn't be so hard. (Maybe make stat maintenance become more difficult the further from the norm you want to be) (I'm thinking something like equipment in Expeditions: Conquistador, with Equipment as an Added Resource that can be lost, or damaged, but also decay)
    Average people can cope, but the people who want to go above an beyond must work for it against increasing odds. (Much like difficulty in the 3ds Kid Icarus Game: you pay for the danger, but you can also expect better things)

    This just speaks partially about world progression, specifically in terms of player progression, and difficulties and rewards for challenge, and bravery. To make the world interesting, there needs to be a certain amount of permeability, allowing the world to change, so that it never becomes completely depleted, or becomes nothing new.

    In the end everyone has to go through some form of complication to expand, or grow, but that's what makes the game interesting.
