There is a small shop tweak I would like to propose.

When in a rush, shops can be quite a pain. If a swarm of enemies is running towards my base, I will try to change to a knight at the closest shop. Though, because I am in a rush, sometimes, instead of changing my class, the store opens up. The base then gets over run and we die.

This has become a major annoyance to me. KAG's game play is very faced paced, and having a menu that forces you to slow down can really hurt the experience.

If you need to change your class in a hurry, you just press E. If you want to buy something from a shop you press E twice. No more will you need to move your cursor directly over the option you want, just 1 or two button presses will be all you need.

    Thoughts?

Archers and builders can use mines effectively. I think this would just make it more annoying to shop, as if you were an archer who wanted a mine, you'd have to switch to knight, buy the mine, and switch back.

I think he means that if you're an archer or builder it would default to change class when pressing e.

so you would have to double tap to open the shop?

You'd have to hold it down and mouse over to buy. Not sure if that's what he's suggesting but i'd imagine that would be the best alternative.

Yes. That is what I was going for, was strapped for time and didn't have enough to write what I wanted. Let me edit it really quick.

You know, you could just get better at maneuvering your mouse and click on the actual button to change class.

it's really not that hard or annoying........

But haven't you ever gotten into the enemy's base and tried buying a keg while they are attacking you? I have. And it is really hard to do because you can't aim your shield while buying something from a shop.

It may just be a personal annoyance.

Only thing I could see argued for here is:
A)The buttons to change class/purchase is a bit too close
B)More of a discrepancy on which one should be clicked if loosely choosing. (If your mouse isn't on the button but low, you are choosing to buy, if high you are choosing to swap classes)

(I personally see no reason why we shouldn't just have a second button for those types of things like R as well as E)

Maybe having change class on the left and buy items on the right and making the menu for what ever side your mouse is closer to pop up.

All you have to do is know where the item you're buying is. It really isn't that hard.
    >E
    >Click box on the right
    >move
    >get keg to whatever you want to blow up

It's the same exact thing, the only difference is top/bottom or left/right. IF you do left/right either kegs or bombs will be harder to buy. As it is, is the best.

^I find this to be an excellent idea.

Would also be nice to have some sort of hotkeys for the items for once you already have the shop-menu open.
In order to do this i suggest disallowing emote-binds while a shop-menu is open, and assigning the number-keys to each seperate item. E.g. bombs with "1"-key, kegs with "4"-key.

This way you can easily buy the items you need, in fact so easily, that you can't just use the trap-block-shop-tower trick to make sure that your shops are safe. Lets be honest, its a great trick, but it somewhat subtracts from the aesthetics of the game.

The fact that it would make buying items easier at your own shops too, is enough in itself to make this a valid feature. No more hassle of trying to buy all your bombs without losing running momentum.

I'd actually personally like to see 1-4 for choosing things like Arrow types, but that's just me, and 1-0 is pretty well used by emotes.

Although 1-0 for items if a shop is open, and for changing your 'ammo type' (Bomb type included) when a store isn't open would be pretty nice.

Anything is fine by me as long as it is a better replacement than the current system.

Or make the buttons bigger than the tiny things they are now. I have no problem with the "Select class" at spawn, but for some reason the buttons are tiny as hell in shops.

They are pretty tiny, but the area you can click on outside of the buttons is also decently large.
