We're going to add help messages on death for those with the F1 help messages still on (read: new players), like the suggestion here. Since the community spends more time with new players than us, and there are more of you to ease the load, we figured community input was the best way to produce this help content.

We're looking to have somewhere between 50 and 100 tips.

Here's what you need to do to help out:
    • Think of something that'd be helpful to know as a new player
    • Think of a way to communicate that quickly
    • Check noone has posted it before you in the thread
    • Post your helpful tip inside a code box:
      Code:
Be sure to keep your tip under 20 words or so, something you could read during respawn time.
That's it! Thanks a lot to everyone who takes the time to write out helpful tips.

    5.

    6.
    Code:
Wood blocks and walls can be set on fire, try using some stone with the wood.
    7.
    Code:
Don't run wildly into the battlefield with a keg without some help!
    8.
    Code:
Pay attention to the ground, there may be a trap!
    9.
    Code:
Bomb Arrows can be used to collapse towers. Make sure it's not yours!
    10.
    Code:
If you see some materials on the ground press "C" and go give it to a builder
    11.
    Code:
Water bombs and water arrows stun your enemies.
    12.
    Code:
Pay attention to your map for tunnelers.
    13.
    Code:
Try using some siege weapons at the siege shop, don't let it fall in the wrong hands!
More to come sorry it's not the way you wanted it

Try not to die in doors - it'll let enemies through!

    :bomb:
    Code:
A bomb's timer lasts four seconds before exploding
    Code:
After you light a bomb, let the fuse burn a bit before throwing it, so that your enemy can't react!
    Code:
If you're throwing a bomb, jump in the direction that you're aiming to throw farther!
    Code:
Try bomb jumping--drop a bomb on the ground, then shield downwards as it explodes!
(Then again, maybe we shouldn't tell newbies to try bomb jumping...)
    Code:
If your enemy throws a bomb too early, you can pick it up with [C] and throw it back!

Aside from being eaten by a grue dark tunnels leave the risk of walking right into mines or traps.
    Code:
Retracting spikes deal less damage and have a delay but are less likely to hurt your team.
    Code:
Supporting solid walls with backwalls is important but often overlooked.
    Code:
Collect hearts in your inventory so you can heal later.
    Code:
Doors at ground level are vulnerable to boulder bashing.
    Code:
Teammates will not love you for lighting a lantern in their secret tunnel.
    Code:
As a builder block up the enemies doors and trap them in their own castle.
    Code:
Big spikepits are usually uneconomical, make multiple small ones.
    Code:
Kill/death ratios are not the ultimate aim of the game, winning the match is.
    Code:
If you have 500 coins spend them.

    Code:
Prioritize building flag protection and forward towers over making spike pits and saw traps.
    Code:
Going knight and heading to the front is more helpful to your team then staying back and fortifying your base.
    Code:
The best defense is a good offense! No matter how majestic your tower is, with no knights attacking you will lose.
    Code:
Enemy corpses can set off mines. Use them as a controlled mini-keg or put them at enemy exit points.
    Code:
As archer, you can put a mine in your inventory, grapple to the opponent's base, and place it there.
    Code:
If you put a mine in your inventory, it will pop out when you die, potentially killing enemies and destroying structures.
I don't know these are too long or too similar.

Hearts, fish, grain, burgers and steaks all heal you
    Code:
Always have a few water buckets ready in case anything catches on fire
    Code:
Jabbing can only get you so far. Try to slash the opponent instead.
    Code:
Archers, don't be afraid to get up close and personal with knights
    Code:
Kegs hurt both your team and the enemy, use them wisely.
    Code:
You can climb arrows that are stuck in blocks to climb a huge tower.
    Code:
Archers can make arrow ladders by shooting arrows at tower walls
    Code:
At building time try to gather resources for your team
    Code:
    Hold chickens to glide further

    Code:
Don't use drills to mine stone, you will waste 50% of stone mined! Only use for emergencies.
    Code:
Try and get video evidence of people griefing or hacking first before yelling for an admin.
    Code:
Red names are admins, Green names are Guards. Guards have the ability to ban too.
    Code:
There is a red barrier at build time, it will soon go away. Always keep an eye of that timer!
    Code:
Don't be afraid to tell everyone you're new!
    Code:
Press E when in battle, sometimes you will find things in enemy backpacks!
I still stood under 20 words, don't yell at me.

Not really a good tip once you generally needs loads of stone in case of emergencies - and there are barely never loads of these in that case.
