What happens now

-I will be refereeing each match and arranging the sessions with each group by pming each player of the groups to see when they're free. All competitors should be receiving a message shortly

-The matches will be announced on this thread before they happen so that an audience is able to attend (just like the knight 1v1 tourney I hosted before where we sometimes had over 10 people spectating). The atmosphere is INTENSE.

-All the matches: group stage, knockout start, quarter-finals, semi-finals, finals will be recorded by myself and posted here... for everyone's viewing pleasure

Tournament Stages

Group Stage
This is the first stage - I will arrange a date with the groups to see when they each can battle it out. Each game in this stage is first to 5 kills. The 2 players that win the most games (max of 3) will go through to the next stage. The two that finish 3rd and 4th will be knocked out and not progress further. To be clear each player will be fighting 3 times, each time being first to 5 kills - untill everyone has faced each other in that particular group.

Next two stages
The sessions in this stage are simply 2 players fighting once in a first to 11 kills situation. Whoever reaches 11 kills first wins.

Semi-Finals and Final
This is the same as the prior two stages, however this time there are two games of first to 11 kills. If both players each win 1 a piece it will then go to SUDDEN DEATH where it is first to 5 kills and on only 1 map - not a wide selection like the rest of time,

THE RULES

For competitors:

-All items from shops are permitted, however most levels have no traders
-You can use anything you find on the map at your own discretion
-Retreating is allowed, however you are not allowed to run away during entire game (lol, i mean obviously )
-This is an archer contest, therefore do not switch to knight
-You are allowed to resupply your arrows from the spawn point as much as you like
-A kill is not counted if you kill yourself straight after your opponent has been killed - e.g. landing on a spike half a second afterwards. However you are allowed to kill yourself a second or two after if you want to perform some crazy victory celebration.
-Both players in a game are fully allowed to use emoticons and message each other. But if you get an arrow up your ass as a result, it's your own fault

For audience members:

-Only be spectators from the point on after I say
-No messaging to the players when the game is in session. Use teamspeak only to other spectators.

If an audience member breaks a rule they will be warned or even possibly banned straight away - as we want the matches to run smoothly.

In my opinion it would be more faster if you won't record and spec all the matches Daskew. People could play whenever they can and send you results. Out of Group Stage when there isn't so many players it's ok, but for not it would be much faster and easier to just let ppl play.

 

I like watching the matches :(.
