Bw Clan Challenge - Builder Descent

Hey everyone.

A little while ago I though of an interesting challenge for a clan match.

I got in contact with @Snake19 and @Colargolator the leaders of AG# and FIST! to see if they were up for it. It was all very fun, and we had a great time.

So here's what I sent to them:

OKAY SUMMARY

Your mission. Should you choose to accept it:



"As a team scale down a very dangerous and deep cavern to bottom. At the bottom you will find 2 flags - 1 blue one red. They are both very close, hence - This is a race between two teams to the bottom of the map."

Factors you may find in your race: Very deep drops, spikes, awkward terrain, moments where thought and teamwork is required to proceed.

• Classes: BUILDERS - this is a must as a lot of areas are sealed off and require the builder to cut through. KNIGHTS - probably the main use would be to protect your builders. ARCHERS - probable use is to assault the enemy teams efforts to make their own way down.

• I will not disclose how tall the map is, but it is very tall. I WILL NOT SHOW IT TO YOU BEFORE EITHER

• Other things to remember: There is gold in some areas, so travel tunnels might be a strategy as there will be a lot of fatalities along the way and spawning right back up at the top.

• NO CHICKENS - Hah sorry, I have a mod made that specifically has chickens removed - this would make it too easy for builders to get down.

And I have tested the level with a few people and it is difficult to get to the bottom, but very possible - the main threat you will experience is from your opposing team.



~The match will be recorded and uploaded to the forum in a new contest thread! I think it will be absolutely amazing to watch.



TIPS:
-Perhaps archers can be used to transport gold back up to the top for a travel tunnel to be made - travel tunnels will save your downward progress.
-Bring down as much resources as you can, you will need them.
-Tread carefully

A fun casual type clan match!
I love it, maybe I could find some synnies that'd be able to join in.

I would really enjoy seeing more ideas like this in the future as well. I think our community could use more stuff like this, Clan or not.

 

removing chickens doesnt really do anything as a *smart* builder would sit on collapsing blocks and just drop down the map

 

There sure wasn't any *smart* builder neither in AG nor in FIST, the game would have been won by Punk solo gg no re.

In that last clip I even told Popno to stop digging, lol. I was slashing to the right so he wouldn't kill me xD.

 

Yes and then I screamed like "ffs what have u done" ;D

 

This is amazing! Only I thought it was a map where you had to tunnel down underground to get the flag, and the maps full of booby traps and maybe a zombie or two. Nevertheless, this was just as entertaining! I really want to see more of this in the future!

 

What with the rise of the new Clan league. FIST! and AG# are too busy to continue this experiment-contest, so this thread is now over!
