Petition to remove bomb bolts

    I don't think there's a problem with them, regular bolts are freaking useless.
     
  4. As mentioned before, cut down the range. I also think that if a knight is shielding, he should be able to block it. I'm tired of dying over and over again shielding the flag base.

    Well, maybe you can use "The Research System" from TTH exclusively on ballistas, once you build the shop, you need to pay X amount of money to start the research, X minutes later it finishes and you can buy a ballista now, i don't think Explosive Bolts need the research thing, however, this can be used to prevent it from being bought at the start of the match, but it takes enough time to arrive if a stalemate has begun.

    To be honest i think ballistas are good as they are, but a global solution for people that complains maybe is needed.

I think the main problem with bomb bolts is that I can just plop a ballista on top of my own tower, and explodenate any enemies who come into the ballista's range, while getting money to buy more bolts. Not to mention destroying any frontal towers the enemy makes. Both of these effects and the fact that the ballista is on a tower makes it difficult for an archer to come into bomb arrow range, and even if they do (and manage to shoot the arrows with accuracy), another ballista can be purchased with relative ease.

    Although, I do think ballistas (ballistae?) should keep their offensive role, which is often the only answer to a large cancer tower or castle. And they're fun to use. I would propose nerfing their damage to players. It can be tested in a mod easily, as it isn't much of a code change.

    I think this is a big problem with many well intended items in kag. They were intended and are somewhat powerful in attack, but are way to powerful in defense and cause the game to be stalled out more than they should... see keg drops.

    just had 2 games in a row ruined by ballista spam(the counter is bomb arrow but if you can shoot them with the arrows them they can 1 hit k/o you with a bomb bolt) i think the damage it does to player needs to be removed completely(or something to allow archers to actually get the destruction thru). The crap ruined my games and i quit after a double pointless loss(this is pub play and it too abusable for the average new/pub player)

    Without the upgrade they should have better range, but with it the bomb bolts become way better than catapults anyways, so the range should be shortened.

    I think that the balista should spawn with 3 bolts. And you can buys additional 3 for 30 coins

    They are devastating but can easily be destroyed. A good tower should take several bolts at least and that's plenty of time to retaliate. If your team can't get rid of it then you probably weren't gonna win anyway and it helps them finish you off faster.

    Leave ballistas alone pls.

    Totally agree with Dar , it only takes 2 bomb arrows to destroy a ballista and an archer could easily run to a shop buy arrows before the ballista even shot twice. Its good as it is!

    3 if they cover the front part like most do(while not messing with the range arc much) by that time anyone who knows how to use a ballista(and has solid aim) can and will easily take you out with bomb bolts.

    One thing that should change is how many ballistas a team can have deployed at a time, max. 2 or 3. Would prevent bolt spam and maybe help with lag a bit as well.
