  5. For me, this is one of those songs that I used to jump around to like an idiot in the past, but which I never knew the title to and which I then forgot about for years. Now that I discovered it again recently, a huge nostalgia wave hit me x)

  12. The diversity of Pink Floyd's discography is stunning - and concerning Silent Hill vibes, you hit the nail on the head x) It also kinda reminds me of the anime "Monster", in case you're (or someone else is) familiar with that ^_^

Mate, in all honesty that's not the best Pink Floyd, for me it'd either be Comfortably Numb or Welcome to the Machine, both are extremely psychedelic, have amazingly well done progression, great use dynamics (volume change), and lyrics with good meanings (most notably Welcome to the Machine, which explores the truth about what people dream and how they usually don't follow those dreams and take a stereotypical route, similar meaning to "Subdivisions" by Rush) not to say that that song is bad, it certainly isn't, but I think it lacks what Pink Floyd was most well known for and what made their music so memorable.

Validated! All is subjective of course.

    >I think it lacks what Pink Floyd was most well known for and what made their music so memorable.
Can do nothing but agree on that part

Reminds me of Silent Hill probably mostly because of this ::P: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NXVV1fkCz6A

Metallica: the fathers of the metal genre.

That song is amazing, they managed to add a lot of variance with little to no repetition in an approximately 11 minute long song, I've heard 8 minute songs that are very repetitive. The singing is pretty good, it's better than modern day metal singing, (A.K.A. screaming) not that I dislike modern day metal, but it could be a lot better :/.
