Hi guys, over the past month or so ive gotten into some really stupid arguements. Just last game someone spammed "nigga" and male genital backwalls. What does that warrant and more importantly how is it defined in the rules context. I mean they are purposely being useless for the entire team(this guy also had griefed the game before). Also id like a solid definition of grief from you and especially from admins. I cant see all your special threads but i know what grief is in my book:destroying someone elses structure without reason. This guy last week cover my entire flagroom in stone(the platforms, doors, ect) and placed a ladder toward the end and i couldnt even convince the admin there to tell the guy to not grief. It was obviously un-warranted destruction of all my building's functionality yet i couldnt get it defined as grief. Is it grief if someone does something completely retarded but they dont know they are retarded? Is it worth a kick, a warning, or does it even matter?

My definition of griefing is when a player does something to put their team at an disadvantage.

Those who write using back walls for me personally, It depends on what they're writing. If it's inappropriate / flame I would give them a warning straight off. This also applies to if their team is loosing, dramatically. Otherwise I'd give them around 5-10 mins to complete their 'artwork' then warn.

The guy who completely changed your building, I wouldn't do anything unless brought to my attension and how bad it is, if o decided to do something I would ask him to stop if he doesn't, freeze then ask to stop, if he doesn't still, warning.

Na, not grieving but still can earn you a warning and maybe a kick, possibly a ban but unlikely

This is a status I made a while back about somebody doing this stupid backwall crap. I have tons of screenshots about it and told 8x about this and he didn't do anything about it. I think he gave them a warning but i'm not sure. At any rate the person still continued even after said warning and nobody did anything. It's ridiculous, this kinda backwall shit needs to be added to the official rules in terms of griefing. You're intentionally being useless to your entire team, and annoying them. And some of these people (Especially the guy who I made the status about) make platforms that HARM our team tremendously. It's easily griefing.

My definition of griefing: Doing something to intentionally annoy, anger, hurt, or hinder progress of your own team. So backwalling? That's griefing. Backwalling with platforms? That's totally griefing. Being new to the game and unintentionally making something shitty? Not griefing. Spamming shit platform walls "for fun" or "cuz i'm bored" Is SUPER griefing.

Rules need to be stricter within kag. Swastikas should not be "Acceptable as long as nobody bitches about it". It should be immediate warning and kick/ban if continued. Dicks should not be "Fine, could be worse" it should be an immediate warning, and then a kick or ban if continued.

Seriously, get fucking tougher on these people. I don't care how respected they are in the community or how much they contribute. Treat them all the same. You be a shitter? Get treated like a shitter.

A couple of things come down to the admin that is online, and their preferences etc. regarding swastikas, I think a fair few of us agreed that it shouldn't be allowed to be built, although a couple disagree stating only if someone complains etc.

I personally still warn for that, I see it still as an offensive symbol.

Well that's because you're a good admin. The admins that DON'T give warnings and leave the players up for democracy need to step up their game and not be afraid of what the majority thinks, only worry about what's right and what's wrong. :>

I give fair choice to the players if they start a kick for a swastika made of back-wall, otherwise I turn an eye if people destroy them. It's one of those times that depends on the situation, including : how many, how much resources, any complaints, etc etc.

I think in any situation that counts as grief. If by accident because they are retarded or plebs then a warning. I couldnt even get that.
This is how the basis of everything should work. If they arent helping the team with their crap and someone wants it stopped an admin should stop them. That involves swatzikas, any writing backwall, ect. An admin should have the authority to remove it if they dont like it aswell. As for grief my definition is causing harm to a team intentionally as well. Though i need a modified version for my irritating situation,They shouldnt be kicked for griefing un-intentionlly(modified version of grief for my irritating situation) but they should be alerted by an admin that their action is un-acceptable and they need to stop. As for "comes down to the admins online" i guess but in my own words it is "if the admin gives a shit" because ive certainly had some crappy ones as of late.
