CTF AlienAntAssault [ACCEPTED]

    Special Features: Looks like an ant with horns in the middle. Is very open to tunneling (But I may change that to make tunneling a little more interesting) Flat map but not so flat map (Kinda considering making the middle more dynamic with overhangs and such.)

    I don't particularly like this map. Well, I don't like flat maps in general. They give too much of a "Let's attack with brute force or tunnel to win!" kind of mentality. There are already too many flat map styled in he game (particularly those sandbox maps). One thing that would improve this would be to make mid more of a king of the hill styled thing, having access from ground levels (cave system leading to the mid) or just simply making some caves in general.
    Stone placement also seems a bit bland and too random, there is no particular way to know where the stone is.

    There's plenty of stone, so I guess the only issue is really what eragon mentioned, it seems like the intention for the map was for powering through it with force.

    I agree with what you both said above, but we currently don't have to many maps like this. So I think it will go alright because of that, it will be something new.

    I'm not talking about the amount of stone, I'm talking about the actual placement of the stone. It's too bland.

    What? Just no.
    You can tunnel on unflat maps too. Using that logic most maps suck(because the ground on all official maps is not composed of bedrock). As for there being too many flatmaps? Again no. Also why suggest to turn a flatmap into a nonflatmap just because you dislike that type of map? Granted some of his block placement is obviously bad(he just did a 3 thick pencil to make one of the cave no big deal just something easily noticeable) but his resource spread is definately better than on any map ive ever made.
    Flat maps are just plain fair slaughterfest where the best team wins. He could do a slightly better job stopping tunneling across the map but flatmaps are focused on brute force because, and this might a contraversial opinion, the best team should always win.

    I added a shell around the ant to make more of a stop of across the map tunneling and I screwed with the cave to make it less manufactured looking.

    Well then i'm stumped, i'll fiddle around with it some more and hopefully I can get it right at some point. ::):

    EDIT: I played on it today with people and I honestly have no clue on what to do to fix the whole tunneling thing, so i'mma keep it the way it is for now. Perhaps someone could screw around with it and make it better, but I certainly can't.
