That might be an issue when it comes to map creation since you need to enter the map to see if it looks right with no misplaced objects, i have created one map for TC and edited another and would like to create another someday.

 

you cannot make that, someone can code that out easily

I had to, people kept hosting their own servers despite me not allowing them to do so, which ended up being a problem when someone got banned on the official server and just joined an unofficial one.
When I asked the people hosting to take the servers down, most of the requests got ignored. I even got banned on one of those servers when I tried to join.

I know that it was needed for some people due to them having high latency when playing, but seeing how it got out of control when I let people host the gamemode for couple of days while the official one was down, I'm not sure whether I'm going to make it public ever again.

But it's my work (mostly, those who contributed are free to do whatever they want with their additions) - if I'm unhappy about people editing / rehosting my mod, they should respect that instead of ignoring it or outright banning me.

this being said, mod are still yours, and credit should be shown, but mods are not closed sourced (dunno) they are open sourced

so, whats wrong with other people hosting your mod. there is a couple reasons why you wouldn't want it, but those reasons are extremely weak.
