ComboBreaker's original post MOVED TO BIG BUILDER GUIDE!
Read it HERE and like it!

    ==================================

This seems pretty awesome, although I feel it would only really be effective on flat maps. On a map where terrain isn't even, it's feel like the effectiveness would be cut down a lot. I still want try this in game though.

Edit: Tried it, worked very well. Only way it can see it being improved for now is adding another catapult further up to cover to cover the range just above it, since builders did try building the lower catapult's firing range.

    Really loved how it worked.

I can't tell you how many builders make catapults as high as possible to rain down rocks from above. It's not NEARLY as effective as on level ground. This is a damn good invention, my friend >:D

If the enemy has a tower next to a mountain just build this inside mountain.

You will need some knights to cover you but it seems thats an effective tactic!

As a heads up you might note that the hole can be 3 by 3 if you place something two tiles above the bunker to block it and keep it from floating up. It can have the addition of a bottom row of team bridges and a top row of team doors, or even stone, to make the catapult invisible and to allow it to serve as a hidey hole. It's very small but allows you shoot at low power without destroying the door.

You really need the good spot to set the catapult! Btw, a trap behind the cata could be useful to slowdown rushers.

That's why I've mentioned you in the first post.I couldnt remember your exact nick,so Im editing OP.But you have to agree that this is very upgraded version of yours - with better protection from bombs, archers, jumpers, etc, with roof and blockable murderhole.

Uh?I thought that catapult is 3,5 blocks width? So if you release cata inside this kind of hole won't it bug out and get stuck in the walls? How do you place cata there so it won't act weird?

You know, when I've constructed it for the first time,I didnt have troubles with min release power,so Im going to try that.
This upgraded version is better overall(I guess,I havent tested it yet),but still it is more costly.Gotta try it out.

*I wonder if you can launch knights at people - you know - shield bash them? When you are low on rocks and have friends online.

To prevent it from floating up place some blocks to the left and right two blocks up.

    Avacado's design is better,hands down.
    -Shooting at any strength(main upside)
-Kinda hard to understand how to build it properly, but if you know what you are doing , it can be built faster than my version

    But!
It has few major downsides :
-Catapult occupies 3 blocks instead of 4 as it should(or 3,5),so future updates may make it unworkable,
-Sometimes it is really hard to place cata inside it.Cata glitches through walls, floor, wigles left and right.Usually it is caused by the lack of blocks under floor.(like,if you've built it on top of tower). But once you've placed it you're good. And they're dead.

    Edit : Pasta!
