It's so obvious that video games cause people to become violent and kill people. It happens all the time. I just shot a guy the other day just because I thought I was in WWII. /sarcasm

I pisses me off whenever I hear some say that video games blur the line between fantasy and reality. It only happens to insane people who can't tell the difference.

The only aggression that video games caused is when you are playing, you get so close to finishing and then you die. That that most results in me having to get a new computer monitor, but often enough I just quit and say **** and ******.

I'm kinda glad they are because while some people might say ITS THE RED CROSS ITS TRUE!
But others might just realize just how stupid it is and never listen to crazy ramblings about evil video games again.

Uh... Did anyone actually read what happened?

This was just spun by various media organisations to make big ridiculous headlines that would get lots of hits. It worked.

The Red Cross weren't saying anyone was committing a war crime by killing people in games.
It was saying it would be nice if games didn't all just ignore 'international humanitarian law' and have war games allow you to commit acts in violation of IHL without getting punished (we're talking about killing unarmed combatants, torture, attacking churches, etc. rather than just plain killing the bad guys). They said they like it when that sort of thing causes you to lose points, fail, etc.

I don't really agree with that stance (its entertainment, it doesn't have to be realistic) but I think its a perfectly reasonable one.
They aren't worried about video game violence causing real life violence, just a dilution of public perception of what is acceptable in a war scenario.
