High ping is a permaban?

I just bought this game to play on my favorite server :Action CTF unlimited spawns.

Steam decided to start updating a stupid game, i tasked to turn the download off. Then when i come back to the game it Perma-banned me because my ping is too high.

Well. That is the only server I play on.

I did not know this game perma-banned people for high ping, or I would not have bought it.

When i read about the "gold membership" servers treating me better for paying for the game, I had no idea it meant this.

Really not fair. I payed the money to play, and show support for this game. Now i have no money, and my favorite server wont even let me join. I have a feeling I would have been better off not paying for the game now.

Is there any way i can gift this game to someone, or get a refund?

Has anyone else been banned from a server from steam updating like this? What happens when a virus scan updates?

If it makes any difference, I never got to even change my character. So technically I never got to play the full version.

This is the wrong section, it should be posted in my specific server thread (in my sig).

Glad to see you like my server so much :D If you arent unbanned in 30 minutes, I or one of the admins will reset the server to unban you.

 

Yeah I do like it a lot. I get good ping and it is usually populated quite nicely.

Thank you for lifting the ban :) I am excited to try my new heads on my avatar, the zsnes texture filter looks really neat too :)
