    It doesn't appear that builders have to stand still to build.

    Acavado, they do need to stand still. Try running and holding the build button, your char will slow down and place the block only after he stopped moving. It just is hardly any different than before since we can still build while jumping (as long as we don't move I think). So yeah... No idea what exactly is affecting us here... to me its a very VERY minor change.

    Mainly the changed block drop physics are interesting to me. Lets see how much we can do with that now.

    It is pretty minor, yeah. It seems it's not that you need to stand still to build, but that it makes you stand still if you run along the ground. It doesn't seem to apply if you're in midair and considering how spastic my arrow tapping is, that's fine by me.

    The new block drop physics are pretty sweet. You can drop blocks on to ledges and let it bounce slide off the ledge. You could potentially make a block slide that invites enemies to start trying to climb it and then send down your boulder. I'm wanting to do some experiments to see how that all works. Which way it slides and all that. Block movement is more consistent than I first thought.

    Annoying ass builders can still drop stone blocks way too easy in tunnels to stop you. Dont think theres an easy solution to this though without severely gimping builders overall.

    Maybe builders could have greatly slowed block placing speed and range if they have moved in the last few seconds? But to counter act it, if they stand still a few seconds they have faster building speed and range than they do now?

    Like I said I think the builder changes in this build are sorta easy-going... they almost don't matter... The hindrance of not moving is minor and mostly only means that blocks are placed "slightly" later than usual. Why even introduce such a change? it seems a little pointless, I mean I dont mind it at all, I just thought builders would change quite a bit from playing the test build... and well... they don't.

    Note for builders in pits: Knights can break bridges above them, but the bridges usually have to be 3 tiles high or higher (usually 4 so they can jump tap), as such you should put your first bridge 2 tiles high, this makes it hard for them to break it, if you do this and make the next one high enough where you'll only get to it by 'vaulting', you should save yourself the grief of getting a surprise visit by a knight where you thought your 5+ tall stone wall and bridges would save you until they brought a builder.

    I think adding a serverflag for enabling or disabling destroying blocks by builders would be cool for some game modes, so they could repair structures and build workshops without channeling out large portions of the maps to benefit their team.
    That, or serverflags for every block that enables or disables builders destroying them.
    Don't know if it's possible, just a thought.

    Definitely would love to see this, for destroying and for creating, for all blocks all classes.

    2 for knight (1 for bomb)

    New collapse mehanic gimpes block dropping builders...A lot.
    Looks cooler than it was,but please!Make 1 stone block always fall vertical without changing direction,if it wasnt connected with other blocks.

    Has anyone come up with a good structure for a steep hill this build yet? I'm playing on Action CTF Unlimited a lot, and there are some steeeep hills to take in middle (Think lots of 3-4 tile high jumps on the way up), overhangs are a must, and sealing the bottom usually is awesome too, but there is a big limit on stone as well on these maps.

    A tip for offensive builders (builders who assault the enemy, and provide ladders for teammates up front); don't be afraid of enemy knights if you've got a friendly knight around. If your friendly knight is going against an enemy 1v1, clearing the way so you can place your ladders or whatever, don't just stand there or retreat, help him out! While you teammate is assaulting the poor knight, help by harrasing him too; jump on him and swing manically. This is very frustrating for the enemy knight, as he will try to target you, but forget that you have just as much health as him, and he won't have the chance to do a full charge. Builders are a great distraction.

    Just found out that builders (or any class for that matter) can pre-charge catapults. Just charge the cata to desired firing power, and press c to pick it up. When you drop the cata, it will fire at that charge level.

    This is extremely useful, and heaps of fun for just shotgunning enemy knights.

    Another thing, cook a bomb to about 3s or something close, so it explodes when you launch it(trojan cata).
    pre-charge it, and you can shotgun enemy knights with a bomb, it'll destroy your cata though, funny in RDM maps with catas.

    I can imagine having a cata with 5% hp left,"cook" a bomb,lay in,throw it from your tower into attackers.They'll try to shoot it and boom! -greed kills poor cata user.

    Or it won't work?

    Even better Rayne; cook the bomb till it has about a second left, pop it in the cata, charge the cata at a third of full firing power, pick up the cata, and throw it for an extended lob (and it looks cool).

    Yes, that is the "trojan" cata, but if they're smart, they'll just use it as a one time shotgun.

    Another thing about catas, if you pre-charge it to full, face backwards after picking it up(catas stay pointed in the direction it was when picked up) jump and press c, it'll extend your firing range, throwing it backwards makes sure the enemy can't get it(eg: accidentally throwing it off your tower.)
    You can even build a room for it, 3 high wall in front, and a 4 or 5 high wall behind you, to stop the cata from falling off.
    Edit: that sounds awesome, I'll have to try that Eggnog.
