    Due to a recent update, [265] you can now climb on notches again, so never mind. =S

    Well, since Notch climbing has been "Nerfed" I recommend to everyone to use a combination of bridges/ladders for climbing up your tower. Maybe in a few more builds notch climbing will come back but for now it is significantly slower than bridges.

    Notch climbing is usually achieved with a tower like this:

    I agree. Notch jumping has been nerfed and even jumping up the ones with two spaces in between is wonky. You either have to have enough momentum before you jump in order to continue moving up or you have to do some weird half jump thing before you trying going up the next jump. Jumping up bridges is still about the same so you can still use those without as much issue.

    Additionally, I almost feel that doors have to have bridges lined at the bottom of them if you have doors flat with the wall like this:

    because doors basically hate you and don't like to open if you are jumping up to them.

    Yeah, because vertically aligned doors don't all activate at once like they used to (which I think they should, as they are more flexible for constructions that way), but instead open individually. This means that when you clamber up to a door, only one segment might open, and the game will think you are trying to notch jump, and push you away.

    Anyway, on the topic of building strategies:
    With the new workshops providing foreground sprites (which look lovely), I've found that it's best to arrange your bomb workshops and quarters like this:

    If you do so, it's possible for all classes to be completely hidden. This allows you to be heal and buy bombs whilst invisible, and if you hold the down key, enemies will walk right through you. The quarters alone also provide complete cover for archers if they lay prone.

    Well I go out of my way to fight when I'm a builder is what I mean, using some park our style crap I can solo bad knight and sometimes take on 2 at once, most builders run scared besides a. Few I've seen and it has me wondering about builder fighting in general

  9. Sometimes is "slew with his sword", sometimes "hammered to death" . Odd.

    I have a very neat little trick of position for enemy knights I use where they can't hit me. I slew 5 knights furiously stabbing at me until they figured out they need to slash to hit me at the angle I was at. Then I was toast.

    I love when archer forget builders can kill them, I'm laddering up a wall and spring onto an archer and hammer him to death put stone over the doors and hit 5.

    I've seen you in action, it's awesome to surprise people like that. Most people play builders like they'll break apart if dirt lands on them...
