    Hey guys,

Now, I get bored. I get bored a lot. And I came up with a good idea. I'm curious if anyone had any interest in having some sort of web-based app where they could dink around with "building" structures out of KAG pieces, so as to see potential costs and to possibly share the designs with other people. I realize KAG has an amazingly small footprint and it's really easy to just fire it up and go into the sandbox mode, but this could offer for just straight up design, no trees, no background, nothing.

Granted, I don't actively code. If anything, I'm a hobbyist. And I'm not saying I'll do anything here. but I am curious- if something like this were made, how many of you think it would be useful?

It is a great idea. I'm not really good at coding (took 1 course) but I can do the design if you want. (I'm not sure if I will have alot of free time tough)

The design really wouldn't be hard- you'd just build a program that creates an array of swapable images (Since all building elements are the same dimensions effectively) and an interface to allow for manipulation of it (Like a painter except instead of pixels make it snap to a grid). I'm just lazy and if I were to take a stab at it I'd force myself to learn HTML5 just to see what I can do with it.

This sounds awesome. Give an option to export to .png and possibly even upload to imgur and give you a link.

Edit: Also maybe label one side of the image with a "---> Enemy" to indicate the direction the enemy will be.

What we really need is a sandbox mode that allows us to test traps. Attempting to switch teams during sandbox only makes you respawn, which means you cannot be on the team of the opposite color that reacts differently to trap bridges of the other color.

Yeah I'm sure it could be coded to simply toggle an unlimited amount of range on building and destruction in some sort of sandbox mode, obviously having instant destruction. Would be cool to have some way of doing it in browser too, having something like that in the forums would make it nice and easy to convey building ideas without having to make them in game and screenshot, however I imagine that'd be quite difficult.

I know html5, but I'm very busy right now. :( I made a somewhat similar app that lets you drag and drop rectangles and it aligns them to a grid. I think I could just set the background image of the rectangles to kag blocks and alter the code a little, then I'll have a test. Maybe I'll do it full-scale if a dev promises me a free account in return. :)

Ummm you do have an unlimited range, if you are prem. You press esc. And go into editor and use z to place and x to destroy and you have an unlimited reach... Well how far the camera reaches.

Yes you can zoom out using shift+dragging the mouse but the blocks get so tiny you cant edit accurately.
