Why there's no ability to change/edit forum thread title and messages in conversation?

Well if you created the conversation, you can edit it yourself. If you created the conversation, just go into it and you should see that there should be a button/link on the top that says edit conversation. There you can change the title and change some of the other options.

As far as forum titles go, all you need to do is ask a forum guard to change it for you.

Edit: I'm the fastest and had the longest message :p
    Therefore I'm the best.

Honestly not sure why editing the thread title is a moderator-only permission, but it is. There isn't a way in XenForo to allow people to edit their own thread titles. If there were, it'd have been doable from the start.

EDIT: Hooray for contradictory messages :D
trelawney's point is a good one, actually. Hadn't thought about it beyond 'man I hate it when people bug me to change their title, I wish they could just do it themselves'.

Cause it might encourage abberant behaviour (endless edits and re-edits, abuse, targeted attacks etc.) If you want a specific topic renamed , you are advised to contact a Moderator and s/he can rename the thread for you.

I meant editing messages in conversations (like editing posts in threads)
Afaik I can only edit first message of conversation created by me, and only when there's no reply of any conversation participant yet. If there's an reply, i can't edit any of my messages (first or later).

Oh, you meant messages in conversations. Well you can edit them within the first 5 minutes of posting (I assume for spelling errors or something).

I will agree that that's annoying. It'd help out a lot in conversation with important info that needs updating and having to make a new post seem disorderly for some of those things.

Yea, editing messages in converstions totes needs to be a thing, cause it's not a thing right now, and it's irritating when you start a conversation up for admins of a server or something and can't change the first conversation post to change the password as it changes man.

It seems that its impossible to "unwatch" conversation (like it is with threads) and stop massive email spam for every single reply in it. It's a little bit annoying when theres many participants and they're very active. :>:(:

Both of these things are possible.
On http://kagforum.com/account/contact-details you can untick 'Receive email when a new conversation message is received' to stop getting emails from convos.

Also, you can leave a conversation at any time (top right of the convo).

I think he wants specific converstaions to not send you alerts, like Pros Only where we get tons of messages for spam :<

Nah there's no way to do that in XF (not even in any existing mod).

I wish to be able to kick people from conversations.
It's annoying to creat 4-5 new conversations when someone leave/is-kicked-from our clan.

Clan-wise I have something better in mind that will resolve that problem.

But again there isn't a way to do this in conversations.
