New KAG blocks!

Discussion in 'General Discussion' started by LetsplayCmansez, Feb 18, 2012.

  1. So I was browsing PixelJoint to see what was going on, & while looking at some piece about a girl and her giant lizard pet, I noticed that Geti had commented. After further inspection of his profile, I found a link to Geti's dA, where THIS was located.

Here you can see all kinds of neat things, like new block types & new tools for the builders to carry. So, speculation on the machines? Anything you like? Go ahead and post. :>

Also, if this has already been posted somewhere, a FM can go ahead and lock this.

It looks like something I'd like KAG to become one day, sloped blocks, one could dream.

LOL would be fun if you could slide down slopes just crouch and off you go.

  5. I think slopes are a planned feature in the works, but are too buggy; so they won't be added until the update after zombies.

I don't see anything new here, that pics been out for a while now.

Doesn't need to be locked though I guess as it was just in the middle of some other thread and not it's own.

  11. Well, I haven't actually SEEN the image in another thread, plus there are plenty of people who haven't seen it. So it serves a use, hooray!

Very nice. Haven't seen that one before. What's the purpose of wooden structures? Faster to construct and less resource-hungry than stone, or something along those lines?

  13. I'm guessing so, plus at some point we'll be able to burn the bitches to the ground in a fireworks show of awesome.

Not only that, but I assume that, like trap door skybridges, wooden buildings don't hurt when they collapse on you opposed to stone.

smart but could disadvantage you. If your team and enemy has no units and the enemy take down your building...No one gets hurt (unless fell) and enemy loses no units.

you gotta look more though. Because there is also double stone blocks, there is different backdrop, and there is stairs. but my qeustion is, what is the advantage to having wood blocks over stone? especially if wood blocks can cath on fire, where as stone block cannot and take some time to break.

Wood will be renewable and presumably be easier to collect and build from.

Stone will be better but obviously not better economically.

A few things catch my eye: The background/side windows, the stairs, the neutral doors, the extra decorative background/roof blocks, and the 2x1 stone blocks.
I wonder: in game modes with one team of players, is that what the doors will look like? This is a pretty recent picture, too. (recent = past month)
This is interesting... and beautiful. I can see that blocks like these could lead to much more eye-catching structures for the creative builder. Nothing to use in a quick, hectic game of CTF, but maybe in the future, where there are areas away from the front line of battle.
