Mardi Gras 2012: Steampunk Trojan Horse

The Krewe of Ragnarok.

My friends and I built a Mardi Gras float this year. It was a Steampunk Trojan Horse armed with 3 confetti cannons, smoke bombs, and sweet stereo equipment. The neck was operable. Our costumes kicked ass.

That symbol is actually the Krewe of Ragnarok symbol. It is composed of four horns which piece together to create a fleur-de-lis which is popularly recognized as the symbol of New Orleans. You can find plenty of examples of our symbol at our website kreweofragnarok.com in the Photo Gallery.

Yeap. New Orleans. We march in the Societe de St. Anne parade on Mardi Gras day.
