3.) You'll be in a randomly generated map, to get the map you specifically want, you have to go to in the console (aka "Home" button) and type in the "/loadbitmap [map's name]"

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you only have to enter /loadbitmap "Mapname", without actually .png at the end.

Using .png I get the same "/" error Mulpy mentioned.

If on a server as admin: "/rcon /loadbitmap MulpyMap"
    If clientside: "/loadbitmap Mulpymap"

The name has to be exactly: Base/Maps/Mulpymap.png
If it's in a folder reference the folder, for example if it is in:
    Base/Maps/CTF/Mulpymap.png
    you would use /loadbitmap CTF/Mulpymap

If it's got capitals you reference them exactly, if it's saved as: MuLpyMap you must reference it properly as:
    /loadbitmap MuLpyMap

Proper way to name your files: Every 'word' starts with a capital that distinguishes it between other words, no spaces, new versions have v# appended at the end, for example:
    UnknownAreav1
    UnknownAreav2
    UnknownAreav3
    And so on.

  7. okay, so i typed in /loadbitmap Mulpymap. it then looks like its about to load, and doesn't. Then, under it, it says *match has restarted* and then in red File not found in so&so. I typed in /bitmap OC/KAG/Base/Maps/Mulpymap. It does the same thing.

    No tents or something corrupt?

    Don't type in OC/KAG/Base

    Only type in:
    /loadbitmap Mulpymap

I have no idea what you are doing wrong honestly it would take looking at your layout and what mode you're doing it in and such right now.

  9. :Þ ok, i have no clue whats wrong either, I created a new map, called it Tutorial, then typed in on the console /loadbitmap Tutorial. it said files not found (again) and then said generating map from seed 25917' 29000 bytes
Then underneath is had all this stuff saying track added so&so about 5 times :(
Should I just delete kag and then download it again maybe?

You could try that, but here's what I want to know:

What was the exact name of the file with ending, was it 'Tutorial.png'? and was it in the Maps/ folder directly?

If so then it should have worked just as you described.

Out of curiosity, what program are you creating your images in?

This and turn on the option in windows to show file extensions and check if it is .png and not .PNG. Had that happen to a map I downloaded once for some reason. If that turns out to be the case change it to .png.

Yea good point, I always forget that most people don't turn on extensions, cause it's the first thing I do whenever I get a new PC.

Ya it was called Tutorial.png and I had it saved in kag's map file along with the other default maps in it. It's saved as 24-bit, or whatever wonka recommended

Make sure that as Noburu said the extension is .png and not .PNG., sometimes it can save as .PNG in Paint.NET (and other programs) and it will be read wrong.

  16. damn, it works now. Its kinda funny cuz my tutorial map went missing :huh?:
    anyways thank you guys!

Do you think you can update the pallettes for zombie mode?

Unfortunately there is nothing to update. All the new additions to the game are only able to be saved in the newer .kag map format. Its up to MM/Geti to give us a better map editor or to add support for more entities/colors using .png files.

Ahh okay, just wondering because I can see a lot of people wanting to make maps for zombie mode.

The best you can do currently is to tweak the zombie map generator file.
