1) Close KAG if it is open
2) overwrite c:\KAG\curl-ca-bundle.crt with http://ryan.u13.net/curl-ca-bundle.crt
3) open KAG and try logging in again

 

Right click on the link I posted, save it somewhere. Then open up Windows Explorer and go to where you saved it. Right click on it and click "copy". Then browse to c:\KAG and go to edit-> paste (or hit ctrl+v). It should ask you if you want to overwrite the file, say yes.

It looks like you are doing at least one thing wrong.

The file I linked above should not be saved as http.doc. You need to right click on http://ryan.u13.net/curl-ca-bundle.crt , "Save Link As..." and save it to your desktop. It *must* be named curl-ca-bundle.crt, which is the name it should keep as long as you don't change it.

Then open Computer/My Computer, go to your desktop. right click on "curl-ca-bundle". Click "copy"

Then open Computer/My Computer, go to c:\KAG. Right click anywhere and click "paste"

 

That is because you are having a different problem than the others. This suggestion won't help you, it only might help those with the "peer certificate cannot be authenticated" problem that DeathBomber is having.

Hawker, you, nuitnoire and aziz have different problems which are harder to troubleshoot.

nuitnoire, can you PM me the output of 'ifconfig -a' on your linuxmint environment? Hawker, can you PM me the output of "ipconfig /all" please?

I have split aziz's posts out into another thread because his issue is different. nuitnoire, your issue is also unrelated, you may want to create a separate thread if you still want our help pursuing your issue on the linux livecd.

As for the cert validation issue, I may just need to release an update with MM that disables certificate validation so that people like you can override it. I'll talk to him about this tomorrow and potentially have an update out in a couple days.

I apologize for the delays, I've been working on and thinking about these problems as much as possible - especially apologetic for those of you who have purchased the game, although it is alpha/susceptible to breakage so I don't apologize too much :)
