    Crash, lack of a backup, corruption. They're usually anomalies and not planned, things that just fuck the world and call for reset or player actions and mass botting that require a change in the system.

    It will be some sort of like Haven&Hearth I think.
    If it will have the building system of that of Haven there will be claims and free ground.
    You place claims somewhere so none can pass without leaving scents/ build on it.
    And its nothing like Minecraft where you just are able to do everything without effort, Haven made people team up and specify roles so that everyone could raise the quality of their craft(higher Q= more value/bonuses etc).

    Ok, so it's not really anything a player can cause other than the mass botting. As long as they have their shit together there and the game is officially released, there should be no problem with the system.

    You could also hack if you manage to good luck, or get a really big glitch like infinite quality or something might get a restart.

    They have a lot of checks for this stuff now thankfully since some previous problemos.

    Looks interesting. Same crowd who did Haven and Hearth? Because I was a part of HnH on three separate occasions. The first, and most successful, was a run where I started on my own, and through trial and error started a small farm. Eventually, a good sized farm. Ten thousand LP a day if I harvested everything. I put up a wall around me, and enjoyed exploring everywhere around me.

    One of my buddies joined me, and a small town sprung up near us.

    The end was rather anti climatic, where I just got bored and left.

    Then I decided to join Cockhaven (the most glorious town ever), but there was a world wipe in between so had to start over. I ended up being killed by a bear while foraging, and rage quit.

    Finally, there was the /tg/ village. It went pretty well; we had most crop types, a nearby mine, and about 12 regulars who knew what they were doing, with two dozen more who logged in every now and then. Then one day, a man showed upside our walls. He said something in cyrillic. We, not knowing how to respond, simply said hello.

    Then the slaughter started. He killed most of us with his bow, and a while later his chums showed up with siege equipment. They spammed the chat with cryillic bullshit and "8======D". It was here my incredible distaste for grind based games started.

    I've registered for Salem, but I hope it isn't "Who has the most free time, wins", like HnH was.

    It was one of my first online games. Never experianced it before. I was fine with it until I actually experianced pvp and people with less of a life than me (or better knowledge at coding bots/macros to grind for them)

    I like the permadeath aspect though, if only from Stockholm syndrome from playing roguelikes for so long.

    Joining villages and then leaving to be a hunter is a scumbag move and will usually assure that those people will indeed hold a grudge and kill you later, if you played hang you'd know this.

    Oh were you in alpha? What's your forum name, noone as teemo was listed there that i saw.
