Hey force, you need to uninstall before you reinstall, making sure that kag.exe has been deleted. The old exe got broken with 548 which turned off the autoupdate.

Build number is the number of days since we started working on it. If it was every time we'd built it it'd be in the high ten thousands, if it was every update it'd be around a hundred.

That makes me feel like an exceptional oldfag, knowing ive been playing since build 150 or so ;]

You're ignoring the fact that I play on American servers when I want to play with Rayne and I live in Australia ;) My internet is acceptable for Australian internet, and my computers are good enough for what I do (and tax deductible when I need an upgrade! :D)

We dont have many luxuries, but most of the money we get from payments goes to us, some goes to Paypal or Desura or whatever. There are costs of maintaining the company, site, postmark, ssl etc, but the majority of the money ends up in our hands for spending on bills :)

Its enough to keep MM and I afloat, and to help support FLAB, Furai and Shad. When we make the large final release, some of the money from that will be going to other members of the team that have been working largely as volunteers.

Nope, that's a course in itself. Local universities or colleges or similar will have short courses in programming if you're stuck, otherwise there's lots of code examples on the internet and soon enough to be ingame.
