    But texturing isn't as fun as i wanted it to be, and the game is so constricting on texturing animations! I can't even make a proper spear/longpike animation with these small texture boxes

    GIMP is 100 opacity by default, if you're using Bamboo tablet, go into the bamboo dock and set the pressure sensitivity to max, therefore your line will always be dark.
