Gathers?

I desperately need gathers in KAG, like we had in Soldat. I love unlimited CTF, but it gets old when there is no skill balance in this game and you lose match after match after match because it is the same stupid teammates vs. pros. So it would be cool if we had an active Unlimited CTF gather we could join and it would all be pretty much pros so that we could have more fun balanced gameplay. The same thing happened with Soldat (where only some custom servers had auto-skill-balancing scripts).

If a skill balancer could be included and servers actually use it it would be cool. I was telling Shane this in a server once and he didn't get it. He thought I meant auto-team balance. I mean a SKILL balance. But points would have to be added to the game also so that you know how to rate builder's skill. This is how Soldat's auto skill balance scripts worked.

And once scripting comes out, it'll be possible (I guess) to do something along these lines. I've never heard of a term like Gathers though... And it's kinda not fair, especially if you're playing along side clan mates.

Gathers are like an IRC you join and there is a gather bot that you join with IRC commands and it puts you in a match with others who join the gather.

It's not fair when clan mates join up all on one team and pwn the other side. How is that even fun for anyone? Why is it necessary to play on the same side as your clan mate? The way the game is now there is a chance you can't play with your clan mate any way because the teams may be unbalanced.

 

I duely await more unlimited servers.
