    Builder taking more skill and building been nerfed are exactly what this stale game needs, I honestly haven't played in over two weeks cos I got so bored of impenetrable fortresses coupled with bad teamwork. I've been playing alot of TF2 recently for a casual fuck about when I don't have time for something more in depth, and it's so much more rewarding, KAG at the moment you need pretty decent teamwork to overcome a pile of stone someone with little skill or knowledge has made. I'd love builder to take more skill, I want new players to literally shit themselves and start crying in dear with the sheer overwhelming difficulty of it so they don't go anywhere near it till they've ground out at least 2 weeks of gameplay, and leave building to the people that know how to do so in a clever way that dictates the game accordingly. Don't mind the arcadey fuck about to continue, but with all the possibilities with new code, I'd love to see this game to have some properly refined and difficult to play servers, one's that new players will suck hard at and need to be determined to cope with, then you might have some KAG action where you actually have to work as a team and that you can fucking attack during.

    If you like KAG as it is then play it on a server that fits how it is currently, if not don't bother it's the same straight forward point that applies to any premium content, don't like it don't play it. On that subject of "people will be confused by different configs and etc etc"; why do we have to be worrying about catering to stupid people that don't have the attention span to do 5-6 seconds of reading of a servers information to see how their server works before joining? I don't see how that's a concern.

    @ Flaming, the different tools I imagine are just pat of the animation, not the builder buying different tools, although could be wrong and it might be part of teching up i.e. start with axes and have to buy pickaxes to mine/destroy stone. I imagine it's just an animation though.

    I hope its different tools, it would mean more strategy to games since we have lumberjacks, miners, etc. working on the role they chose. But if it's only changing the animation for the builder breaking stuff then I have no idea why they would make the pickaxes extremely big.

    Most things that mix up KAG are good. Personally, I am bored of KAG, small mechanics like this will make a major difference, with new differences brings amazing new ways of playing and thinking, bringing people to play more, who wants to play a game with no difference every day? I can't wait. (I have seen the video, I wantZ dE HaKZ!)

    Fortress? Not with pub-builders around... build a 2 stone thick wall 40 titles high infront of your spawn, then only ladders for the enemy.

    Make a pub builder fend for themselves and they'll build a shitty 2 block wide tower with bridges spammed on the side, give a pub builder a 5 minute warm up time/an un-crossable pool of water and they'll build a tall slab of something or other that archers can camp on...

    @ Flaming dragon, a pickaxe IS extremely big ;) but yeah, either having seperate builder classes or upgrading tools or whatever would make for an interesting game, that's what mods can be for though.

    That's what he means when he says knights have no way to override it easily "without builders and bombs."

    As to my two cents, I believe this is a welcome addition to the game, and I'm looking forward to collapsing things by removing their supports. It's gonna make architecture a heck of a lot more interesting.

    Well, of course. Violence is the most interesting part of any kind of building.
    Wait, what.

    Anyway, I also hope that with this update, collapse collision is fixed, because I've been noticing that a lot of the time, where you see the blocks falling is not actually where you get hit, especially in larger collapses.

    I also love how you can only build 3 tiles out, then a support, then 4 tiles out, it's an interesting mechanic.

    (Actually, the second building puts me in mind of most pub buildings: tall, thin and prone killing you when you least expect it. At least with rotating knives you know where you stand... :rollseyes:)
