    "TNLS" clan

Anyways... Underground tunnel supports sound like a good idea. After maybe 8 minutes they would give way and parts of the tunnel would collapse.

Not happening, that would be 80x harder to code than the lighting is.

Not happening, but should. Wasting time on possible 'Dinosaurs" in a future build, when they could actually make WEIGHT to dirt in tunnels seems like a must.

With my idea, a tunnel would fill itself back up after a prolonged period of time, if not kept fixed, as well as screwing up anything above it, thus needing you to be resourceful and tactical. The deeper you go, the heavier the dirt. The less time it takes to wear and tear away on the supports. This is a must.

The trouble is, making collapsing tunnels seems like a must to you, but look at the goddamn game! It doesn't aim to be realistic!

Classic mode is basically more of an arcade version than the full version. It's fun to play, yes, but it isn't necessary for it to have the features of the full version, such as premium lighting. It's meant to be the game in it's raw form, without the fancy-smancy golden knobs on it, and without the sequins, no matter how prettiful they look. If they want that stuff, then players can buy the full game, right?

The very idea that the game is unrealistic is a counter to the idea that tunnels should collapse. You have heavily armoured soldiers floundering upon the surface of the ocean, but floating. You have players flying through detonating a bomb just next to their head. The entire thing is set in a world where a persons face is made out of about 7 squares, and is two dimensional!

As a game, it is built for fun, not realism. Having to prop up my tunnel so I can't go anywhere isn't fun, it's tedious.
Seeing the enemy and hunting them down, that's fun. Blasting through a breach into a room of anticipating soldiers, that's extremely fun. I would even go so far to say that dinosaurs are also part of the great amalgamation that makes this game incredibly fun.
Why the hell would you want to remove the fast paced and chaotic gameplay that makes this game so fun?

How exactly does it remove that? It just makes tunneling more tactical. If you don't want to tunnel, then don't tunnel.

Having to fix things makes it take longer. It takes time for it to take longer. That slows the pace of the attack.

realistic tunnels are not fun, dont ruin my fun even more
dinos are fun until they start raping your face off
you know how in the 'be creative' server griefers often place gigantic towers made of stone and when someone tries to break it down by destroying all the supports but it just won't fall. then you have break it in half and then it will fall. Is it possible to modify the code so that it will always fall by destroying the supports or is that not viable

    Shut up, just shut up.

You have no idea what the devs are working on, thus you have no right to say they're WASTING time.

They're not gonna spend time making complicated changes to the fucking classic build when they need to get the scripting build done. the lighting was just a small thing Geti did in the scripting build then ported over to the classic build, since lighting is hardcoded and not controlled by scripts, it could be done.

Did I say the devs were wasting time? No. That was directed at people wanting them to add such silly things like Dinosaurs.

I know that dinosaurs are definitely going to be in the game, but read the following message as if they aren't going to be put in the game:

Dinosaurs are never going to be in the fucking game! Look at the evidence, man! Why would they put dinosaurs in the game, it's bloody stupid! It's almost as damn foolish as the idea that tunnels should collapse on people; that's just as silly a suggestion, because it would take far more work, and would be far more glitchy!

Of course, dinosaurs are going to be in the game.
