Sup Clemo. I had this question, first i would like to appoint that your excellent Rtdm's seem to be without admin or moderators most of the time. Since I play on both #1 and #2 (your rtdm's) and find/see/experience abusive players (spammers, people killing their own team, switching team all the time to avoid death, etc etc) so i was wondering if you somehow needed another admin to watch over them at times? If you do, send me a pm, no point in having that conversation here :P

This post is only about CLemo's servers. (!)

• So i just wanted to say dear Clemo that there is absolutly no need of more admins on your server. At the moment everything works absolutly fine and except few incidents there were no big problems. There is absolutly no need of admins. Because on this server it is impossible to grief.

• What's more, giving admin will lead to situation that less and less people will play on your server because of admin abusing. Hackers will be eliminated by recording and posting records on forum so here admins are usless. Spamers, abusive language? Who realy cares about if you can just mute someone. Camping? It makes game better - players will learn to survive not to just give their life away. Besides why should one die because his teammates decide to foolishly give their lives away. Finaly what if oposite team sucks so much that winning with them is an insult? Why should i let people insult me? ;>

• So as you see Clemo. Admins will be left only with choice :"abuse or not to abuse?". This will lead to agression between players and admins. Situations that are just wrong. There is no need of admins on Your's server and never was. The only way to keep it the best is to not change anything. Just load up some new maps occasionaly. To make life more variable.

Well, it might not be as apparent to some as it is to others, but Clemo does need admins on his Fast Round servers. Filystyn, you're not entirely right about people not being able to grief on those kind of servers, the might not be able to destroy any towers or the like of the own team, but since many of Clemo's maps are collapse maps, that any knight can easily set off, knights wind up killing their whole team with collapses, and that can be intended, therefore, that is griefing.
As well as that, there's always the people lighting their bomb instantly when they spawn and they blow up their whole team with it.
For circumstances like those, Clemo does need admins.
Also, for stinky campers, that eliminated any way to get to their position and just sit their and wait for the round to end.

//Btw: The words "admin abuse" get thrown around really too easily around here. Admin abuse is a serious issue. Any server has their special set of admins, and if the owner wouldn't think that the admins are fitting, he wouldn't have recruited them. So, really, admin abuse is only if an admin abuses his powers to freeze/kick people that are about to invade their base or sth, or mindlessly spawning Zombies or shit. If you're being a douche or the like, well, admin's choice if you get to stay on the server or not.

I believe that if you get the right ratio of admins to players, it helps make the game more enjoyable. If you have 1 admin on at all times, the game is must more fun because hackers know that they are being watched. I liked your post because I liked your third bullet. And also because I am a serial liker.

Changing team makes them easy to get kicked (only 2 votes needed). So they are not a problem. There is that guy "OsamaBenLaden" his nick might be a littel different. I kicked him recently with no problem after he blew whole team up. ;>

But if those people do that on more than on one occasion, they have to be banned, and a votekick won't suffice.

 

They can be recorded and banned. If they cause too much trouble. Besides those are occasional problems. Chance 1 to milion.

Let me just say that Filystyn is full of shit. This server is gonna end up BELONGING to the people who purposely bomb jump to high, unreachable areas and camp. Pretty soon it's gonna belong to the people who purposely bomb that one tile that makes the whole map collapse. It's gonna belong to the people who leave the server to avoid a votekick, then immediately rejoin and the slate is wiped clean.

Your average shmuck doesn't give a fuck about votekicking. Why should he? He's too busy herpderpin' around as an archer trying to shoot at the sky and at random walls. He probably doesn't even know the chat exists.

I'm with Juaro on this one. There's a HUGE problem on this server, and people who like to ruin the game for others seem to flock to YOUR servers Clemo, mostly because there's nobody around to do anything about problematic people.

 

Fily isn't bad, and campers shouldn't be banned.

I'm okay with the server. I like it a lot
