What did you recieve for Christmas?

What did my dear KAG friends out there get for Christmas?

In fact, nothing. But it's not because of some religious bullshit of being prohibited to celebrate it, it's more like that I don't see much point in giving fancy gifts. That can be done all-year round. And December has been a particularly challenging and depressing time for me anyway, so I am not even in a christmas mood (actually for the past 4-5 years in fact).

So, instead I dedicate my christmas to enjoying the company of my family, friends, loved ones and winding down from the stresses of the year, eating a lot of potatoes, blood sausages, sauerkraut and different meats cooked in various ways (usually pork/boar and/or chicken/broiler), as Estonian christmas traditions see fit.

I don't want to seem like some kind of hipster/hippy or whatever, but I personally think that christmas has devolved only into something that's meant for kids to get stuff. Adults should appreciate love and care without having to complement it with expensive, flashy gifts.

I said I got nothing, but to overthrow any presumptions about not getting any gifts, I wanted to provide an explanation as well ;)

 

I said what did you recieve for christmas.

 

I got nothing exciting except moneyz, and chocolate, but christmas for me is just being with my Family, eating food. Presents are not the most important thing in the world, but rather being with your family :). But I do hope everyone else had a good christmas, since I don't want anyone to be unhappy on this awesome day.
Although waiting on guro's giveaway, all see how my luck fairs :)

A banjo and a kindle fire! (And Hox released volume 11 of Oyasumi Punpun and I count that as one of my presents. :) ) Such a great Christmas!

Nah, it's just that I usually am able to buy what I need during any time of the year, so there's no real need for me to ask for anything specific on Christmas. So I usually don't.

 

Right... Can we please have something positive about Christmas now?
