Windows 8 is Windows 7 but faster and it add a 'support' for touch screens. That's all.

I've been told that once you get used to it, it's much easier then Windows 7. You practically access everything from tabs. Thats what makes things quite different.

Yeh, it runs differently though. :bird:

I have windows 8 on my new laptop and I kinda like it, but I wouldn't buy it for my PC to upgrade from windows 7. not because windows 7 is better, but because there is hardly any difference and it's not worth the money.
So if you get a new PC: get windows 8. If you have an old PC: don't upgrade.

I bought Windows 7 because I feel it will be more established than 8 with regards to what runs on it. Besides I needed to upgrade from XP and only recently did developers really stop supporting the XP platform so I finally decided to jump ship but I wasn't comfortable getting windows 8.

I had a hell of a time getting my hands on Windows 7 though, Microsoft doesn't seem to want to sell it anymore.

    LOVE the start menu.
its so useful, and the swipe your mouse to a edge for feature system.

    the best is the taskmanager.

Awesome, no reason for haters to hate unless they try it.

Posted this over and over, but here we go.

    1. All your apps run. And if they don't, you can run them in compatibility mode.
    2. The start screen is more flexible then the start menu. If you can't god damn stand it, there's dozens of start menu for windows 8 such as vistart and startisback.
    3. If you think you can't live without aero transparency, you're a retard. XP had no transparency and people were fine with that. Plus I'm making a way to get transparency back into windows 8 with blur (best viewed with firefox):

And who says you can't customize windows 8? There's themes for windows 8, rainmeter crap, and lot's of stuff for that.

    So haters, AWAY WITH YOU!
