the base is repairable and one-way. enemies trapped inside, chopping their way to the next level can be collapse on from above. option for over instead of through in case exit is blocked. easily expandable for height, easily modded for more maneuverability. only slightly weak to bombs. team-bridges over the backwall in the bottom can do wonders against bombs.

the important thing is that the base is a lot more efficient and the team-side entrance is lower and faster. if you make it taller, you'll want a pathway where the workshop pieces are. 8 blocks high, for no stun.

  2. Overall, it is quite a deadly concoction to include the spikes+falling debris. Problem is that those things themselves repel the enemies from going near them... I myself would rather bombjump over the thing than trying to break it down. :(

yeah, me too. that's why i mentioned the ability to make it taller. above this, you can skimp on stone and make it much taller for very little.

taller, less resources, all the same concepts. pretty formidable. inb4 "still bombjump it" ... the stretch can continue as high as need for pretty few resources.

-edit- after using this a bit in game, i think i decided it would be better to connect all three slots on the drop trap. everyone does a smart job of not going inside until there are quite a few of them together and they move through it very quickly. a drop that hit all three holes would be better for clearing them out.

Don't mean to detract from what you've accomplished, but I keep thinking that this just looks and acts like a more expensive version of the Faustpit.
I also think that you should try using trapbridges as collapse material. They're a bit cheaper, and won't be activated and rendered useless if you time the collapse wrong when a teammate walks by.

E: at below, I must be blind today. Don't know how in the hell I missed that picture.

you're right, it's heavily inspired but the faust pit, but it's layered for multiple chances to drop and making it hard and harder to escape the farther the enemy goes in.
yeah, as seen in picture 2. the downside is that they don't "attach" to workshop pieces, so setting them up takes longer.

anyway, the whole design turned out to be pretty impractical unless your whole team understands it's function. teamates get stuck inside "waiting" for the enemy, which blocks your ability to collapse without TKing. I'm reworking it with just 1 drop hole, but like jim said, it's just turning into an expensive faustpit.
